Airport full body scanners. Good or bad?

Up North :-)

Me I fly a lot and yes it would be inconvenient but I say yes as I don’t particularly be wanting to view the guy in the seat next to me suspiciously and staring at his crotch for extra padding!

I have nothing to hide so I would'nt mind being scanned

Would make a change from the patting down I always seem to get at airports

Yes, its got to happen, and it should be a 100% search at ALL the worlds airports. Sample searches are simply not effective enough.

I dont mind them seeing my bits and pieces but when they were first discussed there were concerns about naked images of children....not sure how they plan to get around that one.

Im assuming that the machines just scan and dont have any mechanism of storing images.....if they do I can see long queues forming for airport security jobs

I have never been a great fan of flying anyway but this has just sealed it for me. I shan't be flying again if my personal privacy is going to be abused in this way.

I know some people will argue, "Would you rather be dead?" and my answer is: "No, I'd rather not fly."

I'd rather the whole plane be subjected to a full body search........ I too and scared witless of flying, and anything that makes it safer is ok by me......

Judging by the farore that the Human Rights lot of kicking up, it could be that children under a certain age are not scanned.......

Queue the extremists using kids as suicide bombers, or in the case of many years ago...... hiding explosives in kids toys/nappies etc.

I have to smile at the thought of you holidaying in Skegness or mablethorp for the next 40 years. To avoid scanners.Sorry but it hasn’t half mad me grin wishy

i hate flyin am a nervous wreck!! i have no objection to body scanners and as a mother i have no objection to my child bein scanned either if you nothin to hide you nothin to worry about!! there a bit on msn about the human rights brigade bangin on about invasion of privacy i would rather have an airport worker sniggerin at my ten bellies than bein blown to kingdom come by some nutcase!!
