No. I'd prefer less visibility of him than more, due to the huge negative influence he's had on health and well-being, including of his male followers

Nope. I wonder how he’ll fare sparring with (hopefully) all his new cellmates in the showers?

I'm at a age that I don't care about people like him but id say more younger men will it needs more men to speak up against what he says who can influence them because if he goes to jail which I don't think he will but if he does he will be a martyr in there so much influence on the young ones they will be in the gym more listening to everything he says.

They aren't related, but you have to acknowledge them both so that people don't think he can get away with being an awful human being because he's a talented athlete which you do see examples of.

Are they?? You're talking about your own personal respect or admiration for artists being dependent on what your values are which is legit. I used to adore Gary Glitter but not so much once I learned he was a nonce. I can change my mind on that score. What I can't do is say that getting a platinum disc (back when it was a LOT harder to do) isn't still a fantastic achievement. That's not an opinion, it's counting.

That's not an athletic achievement to be proud of in any way and any professional fighter would be ashamed of it.

That seems anecdotal with a heavy dose of sour grapes. To rig a fight history of 43-9 (or whatever it is) from a fighter who never really made much money for his promoters, doesn't seem plausible to me. Even if you discount the stuff he's done since moving to Romania, it's still an impressive career.

Seems to me that people don't want Andrew Tate to have been good at his chosen sport because they don't like Andrew Tate. John McEnroe and Michael Jordan were also consummate bell-ends in their time but nobody challenges their achievements on that basis.

Based on a quick Google...

John McEnroe crimes - bit of a dick on the court.

Michael Jordan crimes - no official criminal activity.

Andrew Tate crimes - 10 charges connected to three alleged victims, including rãpe, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain.

Yeah. They seem comparable OP. Good shout 💜

A fighter doesn't select his opponents, that's what his managers and promoters do. If those people had made a lot of money by matching him against lesser opponents then you might have a point, but they didn't. Remember, most of his fight career was before any of the "celebrity" status.

Andrew Tates “career” (let’s not forget that he proudly accepted the moniker of “The King of Toxic Masculinity” completely eclipsed his kickboxing career by his own design.

Saying “yes but he was a good kickboxer” is utterly irrelevant. John Wayne Gacy was good at being a clown but he was better at being a serial killer.

"Andrew Tates “career” (let’s not forget that he proudly accepted the moniker of “The King of Toxic Masculinity” completely eclipsed his kickboxing career by his own design.

Saying “yes but he was a good kickboxer” is utterly irrelevant. John Wayne Gacy was good at being a clown but he was better at being a serial killer. "

If you want to blur the lines, that's up to you. You don't have to like someone to appreciate their achievements. Personally I can't bear Donald Trump, but I will acknowledge his incredible political comeback and I would never claim that he didn't win two elections on the basis that I can't stand him.

How is this a controversial viewpoint?

It isn’t controversial, I’m not even disagreeing with you about Andrew Tates kickboxing ability. I’m not one to encourage groupthink but that man has been the arbiter and figurehead of potentially the most harmful generational subculture in recent history.

Why highlight anything good he’s done when he’s been responsible for so much atrocity? To make a point?

Athlete won’t be the it.. . He won’t be able to run from the law and he can work out in the prison gym and fight me big in the showers … and good luck with that ..

So by your logic, Lucas Hernandez didn't actually get 38 caps for France because he is a convicted wife beater??

Your argument is as stupid as your Tate is an athlete argument…

Who or what the fuck does any other person good or bad have to do with my view of Tate the cunt … you can have your perverts view of the o world .. let decent people have theirs

Answer my question - did Lucas Hernandez get 38 caps for France? Yes or No?

No, but I do know what a pyrrhic victory is 😃. If your argument is that it will all ultimately go bad for Tate, then I agree. What I won't agree to is that counting fight wins is dependent on whether or not I like the fighter.

We don’t need to acknowledge the achievements of people who’ve caused serious harm because doing so lends them legitimacy. It creates a twisted scale where talent is weighed against abuse, as if the two cancel each other out. They don’t.

Celebrating a predator’s success is a slap in the face to their victims. It tells the world that what you do matters more than who you are. That’s not just wrong…It’s dangerous… and it’s cruel

Andrew Tate is not a misunderstood success story. He is a walking red flag (and not the fun fictional kind in my smut books). He peddles poison to vulnerable men and boys who are desperate for purpose. He Feeds them a fucking fantasy where women are objects, empathy is weakness, and violence = respect. He wraps that up in his past titles and pretends it’s wisdom. It isn’t. The longer people keep fucking clapping for what he was, the more damage he’ll do in who he’s become

Where did I say I was a fan? If you want to challenge me then you need to address stuff I have written rather than stuff you think I may have written. That's how it works. If you think that acknowledgement of on-the-record sporting achievement is somehow subversive then you need to explain why

According to the angry commentators here, Michael Jackson was NOT one of the most successful musicians of his generation and did NOT win all those discs and awards because he turned out to be a kiddie fiddler. See how muddle headed that logic is?

Guy is an utter disgrace. And if you don't think so too then perhaps you are made of the same stuff which screams red flag. He is a danger to women and seems to have a cult of idiot followers. Don't give him exposure unless its to educate on how not to be.

"We salute the rank, not the man. Whatever you think of him, he's a very talented athlete..

He’s actually not. He finished mid level, in lightweight fights, punching down mostly against people smaller or less experienced.

He isn’t an elite athlete. He’s a fake

John McEnroe and Michael Jordan were also consummate bell-ends in their time but nobody challenges their achievements on that basis."

Just fucking wow.

Like David bowie fans? Like Michael Jackson fans? Like iggy pop fans?

According to the angry commentators here, Michael Jackson was NOT one of the most successful musicians of his generation and did NOT win all those discs and awards because he turned out to be a kiddie fiddler. See how muddle headed that logic is?

It doesn’t matter if he did. He was a predator. Same as the other vile excuses for human beings above.

Andrew Tate being one of them.

He gets no air time because he deserves no air. Just like all the other cunts 👍🏻"

Well you can say that your opinion of him changed and has affected your enjoyment of his music. That's your opinion and that's legit.

You can say that his reputation will be forever tarnished, that's the opinion of almost everyone and that's also legit.

What you can't say is that the awards he got for his record sales are now illegitimate. Because that's not opinion, it's counting.

Some people struggle to make that separation.

Apparently "just wow" is a slam dunk when it comes to ignoring facts.

You might want to Google the definition of Straw man before you use it. You also might want to read all the comments before deciding what was or wasn't said.

"Once again - we salute the rank, nor the man "

We do not. There's very long lists of notable people that have been stripped of their accolades because of crime or morally ambiguous behaviour.

When you lose a CBE or are stripped of a sports title you literally are no longer recognised for your achievements.

We do not salute the rank.

You do. That's the difference.

They all still get played on the radio. People still buy their music. So according to some on here all those people are paedophile supporters.

Some jump to patronising at a mere whim others sit and play non existent violins to the tune of their bleeding hearts

However Tate is an abhorrent excuse of a man .. if that is patronising to some or fiddle playing inducing to others ….

Well good luck with that.

Yes Andrew Tate sparring 60 people

A thread about Andrew Tate is always going to descend into a thread about Andrew Tate.

If I do a thread about Mason Greenwood I can’t be upset when people start complaining about Mason Greenwood? You know?

Well I was hoping people would ignore the other stuff and stay on topic. He sparred 60 people in a row

And Bonnie Blue...............? "

That definitely wasn’t sparring

I’d love it if Bonnie Blue was also an accomplished kickboxer. Then we’d be straight back to square one 🤣

I don't want to even click to watch it tbh.

Having seen him I pretty much know it's absolute nonsense.

If that were the case he would be in the UFC or any other organisations.

He's not.

Doesn’t make any sense whatsoever you don’t have to be in the ufc to spar 60 people. Tate was a kick-boxing champ of a b-level organisation nothing to do with the ufc

It's not 'your' thread. Anyone can post anything they want to, within the rules. It's a public forum.

Anyone that wants to talk about Tate in anything other than a negative manner is pretty peculiar!
