If you recognise someone off here out in public, what's the etiquette??

Do you say hi, do you say you look Fab, just give the knowing nod or nothing?!

Nothing, you do nothing. You just carry in as normal.

And don't send messages after saying that you saw them, it's creepy and unnecessary

I found this site because I see it on my mates phone and was intrigued l, it was his couples profile. I also worked with a girl who was on here. I did not say anything. She uploaded videos the night before calling in sick though. I don't work there anymore but I still wouldn't say anything. A few people I recognise from social media groups but I won't say anything if I see them out. I've probably already messaged with face pics etc so I'd still take as a polite no and leave it as it is.

Walked past a fabber who was out with their wife and kids.

They didn't/don't know my face thankfully as they're not very stable.

Made me glad I never post a facepic and that I'm so careful who I share things with.

Very definitely do not engage if it's not by some kind of arrangement.

I'm not 'up to no-good' on here so I would only be unhappy about potential safety issues and a loss of privacy.

"If you recognise someone off here out in public, what's the etiquette??

Unless I really know them, like we’ve been chatting and are friendly, then I’d likely just let them get on with their day.

But, if I do know them, I’d likely say hi, only if they were on their own. If they weren’t and we made eye contact I’d smile, for sure.

I’m not rude - I’m very friendly, but I’m also respectful of other people.

Nothing.

Leave people be, if they've seen you and want to meet they'd have messaged.

Unless your in a club or group social that's fab related.

I'd be absolutely furious if someone approached me outside of fab, it's creepy, hey I've seen you naked and recognise you, faf? - no!

If you've never interacted with them before that moment, even though you're obviously aware of them for recognising them; why all of a sudden because they're 'real' would someone suddenly choose to interact?

Whether that be an on the spot awkward 'hello, I recognise you from Fab' or the creepy follow-up 'I saw you' message later on, neither option is an opening introduction that anyone would be comfortable with; it's not about etiquette, it's about decorum.

There's a couple in my town who I've chatted with pretty cordially on here and exchanged pics. I've seen them out around the town but my goodness I'd never react, let alone say hi or "nod". Why would you do that? It's really creepy and stalker-like.

This scenario happened to me a month ago... I was having coffee with one of my daughters when a couple who are regulars at my local club entered the coffee shop. I could clearly see them, my daughter had her back to them. The man spotted me but tried not to show it, said something to the woman, then they left.

Next time I saw them I jokingly berated them both for not even acknowledging me with a surreptitious nod before pissing off.

I think I'd be OK if I was alone and some unknown from fab politely approached me just to say hello, but I'm not a woman......

Just to add, even though I'm ok with it, I would never approach someone I've never met. Those I have met it would depend on whether they were alone or not and if I actually wanted further contact 😏

Normally what I do is quietly say to each Anita... "I've seen them on fab", then carry on without interfering in their life in any way.

If we've interacted at a club or similar, then we might nod & smile, maybe say "hi" like we would with anyone that we know in normal life.
