I think i posted this before but lost track of it sorry. How many of you are on a carnivore lifestyle. It would be lovely to create a group of carnivore swingers

Do you eat anything but meat op?

There was a woman on here a while back who ate mostly meat. She did drink coffee with butter I think 🤔

Prefer the idea of a Paleo diet for the different nutrients. Makes sense a bit more to me.

I'm not sure I could afford a carnivore diet!

I definitely eat lots of meat but you deffo need carbs from somewhere like pasta or rice.

I never eat veg so if it was one or the other I choose carnivore every time

It's a diet fad. Even the carnivore diet influencers that had blood work done showed that their cholesterol was insanely high and need some sort of veg to balance it out. I really don't understand what people aim to achieve with this sort of thing 🙄

Eskimos have been living this meat and fish heavy diet for aeons, so that's the longest example of carnivore diet that I can think of.

The Japanese and the North Mediterranean counties have the healthiest diets.

I imagine a predominantly fish based diet is healthier than a red meat bases diet. I don't really know the life expectancy of an early Inuit person though.

Plus, we live vastly different lives.

Carnivore may have made sense to a caveman who used the fat for energy in lieu of carbohydrates, but they probably ran for 20-40 miles a day to get said meat.

I don't think an hour in the gym would cut it really.

There’s that guy on IG/Tik Tok/ X who looks gaunt and fucking miserable. Pops round his Ma’s for Sunday roast and just has water and a few bits of lamb.

No thank you

Indeed. A very cursory look online says modern day Inuits have shorter life expectancies than Canadians. Due to access to health care - but it says high animal fats are also a contributing factor.

Physiologically I can't see how a carnivore diet can possibly be good for you.

Thank you all for your advise...according to some of you I am committing suicide. Fair enough. My question was if someone else does this lifestyle too like me.

Michael Mosely did some research on that one.

We have omnivore teeth, fronts are for grabbing, canines (self explanatory) and the molars are for crushing hard foods.

Sounds carnally carnivorous to me....will meat eating be part of the festivities? What meat we talking? Beef? Pork? Chicken? Kebab?

I just can't eat lots of meat, it makes me feel ugh. Balance is key

Our body benefits from good levels of roughage, which will bulk out food and aid our digestive systems.

The influencers etc doing this will not be able to sustain it for very long.

It's fake, unhealthy and just another fad.

Wife and I are fully keto but close to carnivore. We have a small amount of veg occasionally. I’ve never felt healthier and my sleep quality is off the scale. I’m almost never hungry and when the mood takes me I’ll throw in a water fast for 48-72 hours. When we come off for any reason like a birthday or at Christmas I feel bloated all the time and can’t sleep properly.
