I actually know what you mean, you kind of guess they’ve already hooked up, and have no energy for you, or they’re so many chasing them you would become just another ‘maybe’ in her list.

Just be yourself, and if they reply and you strike up a conversation then that’s cool. But if not, they’re just busy.

I do get what you’re saying but in a different context

It is not about chasing people you like in forums. If you mean the threads where you say if you’re in for the hope someone says they like you but no one does or they pour complements over someone else you may think you like then this probably isn’t the place for you

There are some people who like or need or want affirmation that they’re wanted or desired, it can be part of a human trait

There are people that I actively avoid and I know actively avoid me, such is life and I am sure we will all manage with that

See the forums as a very very very small part of this site where some people know each other outside of here

Personally I use it as more of a gauge who I won’t message or interact with than people I would
