Because the xenomorph is a puppet and a lot of the film is practical effects, it looks soooo much better than the dodgy CGI of the 80s/90s and I think has aged quite well. And a lot of the time you don't even see the xeno as it travels around ducts in the the dark spaces, it's just pure tension and claustrophobia. And it had great subtext around class, gender and capitalism. And Ripley is just a BADASS lead. | |||
