Well, it’s finally happened. I’ve just had someone comment on a Facebook post of mine, with a picture from my profile on here and a link to my profile.

I’ve never been too fussed about sharing my name/pictures, and have been open with friends and family about my lifestyle.

But to post one of my photos, on a Facebook post that was about my dead dog is just something else.

Lesson learnt I guess, not sure what the point of this post is tbh I just needed to vent.

There's an old adage from William Steig that goes "people are no damn good", and it's the best way of looking at life to avoid disappointment and hurt when someone does something really shitty to you.

We recently have had someone we know from "the scene" contact us on FB, so know how easy it is for your personal life to be exploded into your public life.

That's really not cool. Sorry that happened to you. One of the reasons I don't post my full face on my public profile pics is the fact that people can make accounts that remain anonymous. And some arseholes clearly don't understand privacy.

I do wonder what they were trying to achieve doing that to you, was it to get your attention? Was it to shame/humiliate you? Whatever it was, it was a cunty move.

This is the problem with even just giving a phone number out now - you can come up on searches for a lot of the other social media sites and therefore a lot of your information can be obtained.

Someone tried to BMail me with an old profile a few years back on faceache messenger on a fake profile. Had nothing to hide but it's an inconvenience trying to work out who it was. That's why I don't have public face photos. But to post it on Faceache is scummy.

I guess that depends if you use a phone linked to both accounts. I've always used a 'Fab Phone' for here and swinging life and kept my day to day number separate.

I've whatsapped dozens of people over the years, including both my partners. Not once has either of them popped up in suggested friends on Facey.

Separating the two keeps things simple for me. 🤷‍♂️

Whilst even Facebook has privacy settings so no one out of your family/friends list is able to not only view your profile but unable to comment on a photo add any photos as you are able to set who view's or who is able to comment

But I keep my fab and vanilla life separate. Would never contact anyone from here through FB. Sorry this has happened to you. X

I managed to delete it straight away, and have since locked down my fb profile so only friends can view/comment, I thought I already had done that.

No clue on what their username is on here, as I only had their Facebook name. Thanks for letting me have the space to rant x
