Men go to the Gym because they have something to improve on. (The same as “The small man syndrome”)

Yey. I go for about 90 minutes 3 or 4 times per week. But that includes showering after my session.

I'd out go to the gym. My work gives me all the exercise I need and more. If the person I'm with thinks I should go to the gym, then I'm with the wrong person and they've picked the wrong guy.

I'm happy in my skin.

Yes, on average people that go the gym are 75% sexier than those that don't, and if you can lift more than your colleagues you're in charge by default. 🥪

Yes! You had to invent the doughnut before you could have the 'jam doughnut'. A good doughnut need no embellishment other than sugar!

You are probably right but like anything else will suit some but not everyone. No need for trolls though to come on to body shame or use abusive language on the thread or DMs is there? Personally zi like various activities including swimming but not gyms. People csn still keep fit in various ways if they so wish that is and it is their business.

Crikey on a bike!! Some of the comments on the thread are awful! Whether people go to the gym or or not should not impact on anyone else lives, not sure why people feel the need to tear others down

I go because it gives me a boost both mentally, physically and physiologically....If anyone wants to tear that down go right ahead....For some it takes a lot of confidence to walk through that door for the first time.

So what if they do, the dedication and self discipline it can take then it's earned....

Also, I have spent years hating my body, I work hard at trying to better it and I am starting to like what I see....If I want to own that I will whether it be through 'self love' and 'posing' then so be it

I find gyms an overwhelming environment and very much this when I have been in them before. I prefer to walk, hike and do pilates at home. That and sexual activity.

MB, I'm sorry you've had an abusive message. Obviously that's wrong.

But there should have been no "controversy" on this thread at all. The OP was asking if people went to the gym or not.

In saying no, people don't need to criticise those that do. And vice versa. It's not difficult.

"Most Men go to the gym because they have small cocks so they have to sell themselves in other ways.

Wow, I actually lost IQ points reading this

Stop reading now, Joe, or you'll lose a few more as the thread goes on.

And you're a "grunting meathead" already so not that many to lose, I should imagine."

And you get all the meatheads in the same room they all start grunting....a bit like when Furbies babble at each other, it's like that.

Not me though, I'm more of an 'ooh'type

Not to gym.

It’s just not something either of us has ever thought a good use of our time.

We eat fairly healthy and we both work very hard in very active jobs.

I have a very beautiful penis and Henriette has a very pretty face so that might explain our disinterest with gaining muscles where we don’t generally need them.

It’s no judgement from us, if it works for you then great

In the west.

The gym can be a safe place for many people as it is controlled and monitored and it can fit in at the end of the working day rather than going home then going out running.

I use the gym as one way of keeping myself active and as part of a healthyish lifestyle. It’s also a social place as I meet other people and have different conversations.

When it gets warmer I will get my bike out and cycle around one of the Clyde islands and some of the national cycle routes.

Go to the gym 3x per week. Also cycle & hike. Do a bit of weight training (as still put bikes on the car roof & go camping occasionally)

Nothing to do with ‘vanity’ or having a ‘small dick’….wtf???

Maybe more to do with my father dropping dead from a heart attack at 46 & me not wanting to go down the same route & learning from it.

But you lazy, judgemental twits carry on….

I go to the gym for a few reasons.

1. It helps with my mental health.

2. It helps with maintaining my muscles and strength, especially now I'm getting older.

3. It helps with stabilising my joints after a recent diagnosis of arthritis in both hips.

4. It helps lower my body fat.

5. I'm looking better, so more confidence in myself.

No, I don't pose infront of mirrors and take numerous pictures. I watch myself in mirrors to make sure I'm doing the exercise correctly.

I take pictures privately to see my progress in my shape changing.

I know that feeling, I had many years away and started back in September. It was very daunting. I also started with a PT, and that helped me alot. I was then taken very ill in October and from Nov to Feb was having rehab. Im still struggle doing certain exercises and again it's been very overwhelming going to the gym.

On top I lost my job at the end of Feb and had lots of job rejections , so my confidence is on the floor again.

Hopefully you are getting back to your routine

Went to a gym for a couple of months about 10 years ago.

It wasn't for me at all.

I'd played badminton twice a week and five a side football to keep fit for years but had to give up both those and started hiking instead.

Standing in the same room doing the same thing over and over again didn't appeal to me at all so I haven't been back since.

"I go to the gym for a few reasons.

"

Good for you? Did it take a big effort to get into the new habit?
