As post, some of the messages I’ve sent in reply to one I’ve received haven’t been read a week later, if they get in touch do you continue the chat or say no longer interested ?

We leave it as long as it takes. People can get swamped with messages and it might get buried. Or just busy.

As I get up to 389 messages per day, sometimes it can take me a whole 5 minutes to give a detailed response.

A week at maximum or sometimes within a few days. If it’s been left unread and I’ve seen the profile has been online in that time, I’ll just delete from my sent items.

I've usually forgotten that I've sent one in the first place.

I know it can take me ages sometimes to reply (fabmin has taken a back seat lately) due to one reason or another and I presume others have a life off here too so don't give it much thought x

I don’t ‘wait’ for a reply to a message I’ve sent, if I do get a response, I’ll just go with the flow with what has been sent to me?

If it’s the ubiquitous female one word response like “Lol x”………I’ll simply delete and move on

Waiting around for replies in Fab is a quick fire route to Unhappiness Street…..

All depends on who the message was to and whether they have been online or not, though I hardly ever send messages anyway.

If it's a woman, I'd say a week, no more than 2 weeks. Couple- probably no more than a week. Man- a day or two.

If they haven't been online, those deadlines do get pushed, obviously. However, if they have been online and just left my message on unread, or worse, read but not replied, than a week is absolutely maximum I'd wait before blocking. My situation is though that I am not looking for any more play partners at present, and prefer to meet in a club, by chance, so that impacts my patience .

If a message is Opened & they don’t reply, then I block & delete. And I make a note so I know they’re not interested & not to message them again future.

Maaany a lady’s profile says to - “Take my No Reply, as a Reply” 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm shit at messaging I can leave them a week, two weeks, it all depends what's happening in real life because let's face it sex isn't right up there in my priorities.

Recently I've been scrolling the forums and ignoring the inbox because I don't have the time to offer decent replies or conversation, when I do I'll open and reply.

Some people expect daily texts and that just ain't me.

If its a profile that sounds lots of time online and they don't reply, we take it as a no thanks and they get blocked.

I tend to forget msgs I've sent, I don't have a time limit. If I enjoy chatting to someone I don't mind chatting daily or just picking up the conversation weeks or sometimes months later. If I am left on read though I just leave it don't message again unless they do.

I don’t look in my sent messages to have a clue how long it’s been not read. Or indeed if it has.

And old messages end up so far at the bottom of the page it wouldn’t occur to me to look. The beauty of being an inbox slob and not deleting stuff. It’s carnage and chaos.

Reply/Don’t reply. I’m not losing any sleep over it 🤣

I generally let them go and forget about them, unless a tentative date has been set for meeting. I might send mail to question whether it's going ahead but often just leave it.

We keep our inbox relatively low - if we chat to people and then there’s no reply within a few days after the last message is opened, we take it that it’s not likely to carry on, so we’ll delete the chat. If they reply after, it’s all good and we’ll carry on the chat but don’t like half chats to clutter up our inbox.

If a chat goes on for a bit we take them onto telegram as 3 way chatting on here is too hard/slow - also feels like you’re competing with loads if its ladies you’re chatting to.

I wait as long as they take, I look forward to hearing from them(anyone) but understand everyone is busy and majority won't be interested so never take offence if anyone reads and doesn't reply or doesn't read my messages. Patience is key.

I do hate that so many are impatient or get upset if the person says no.

Everyone isn't for everyone, be nice and move on!

If it's just someone message me who I don't know then I'd send a reply and not think about it.

If it's a friend I've always worked on waiting until they've replied to me until I send them another message. Van be anything from straightaway to a few days I don't generally notice I don't rely on messages from just one person

Eh, life happens yeah but that only works to a point.

I'm 10000% of the opinion that if they wanted to they already would have replied. I mean if you value a connection you feed it not ignore it.

So I delete a chat very sharpish.

Someone returning your interest?

If they're as keen, curious and enthusiastic?

In a world of disillusioned appathetic half-arsed'ness?

Well now, that's very very attractive.

I'm the epitome of patience (I like to think anyway!).

If I send, I work on the basis that if they are interested they'll get back to me in their own time at their own leisure. I don't have a fixed "in my heard" of when that might be.

I sent something to a company for repair in November. I was getting a bit concerned so I sent an apologetic email for hassling them last week. They returned it this week. (Actually sent me a new one worth £350, when they didn't have to as it was out of warranty. But they said they felt bad they made we wait for so long). So this is why I am always happy to play the waiting game. It can pay dividends.

.

Made a Dr Appointment in Sep 2012. They said it might be a few years as it's not urgent and there are waiting lists of some years involved. Not had a reply yet, so persevered with it. It's incurable anyway, so I just live with it, like millions of others.
