...anyone planning on going to the supermarket next Saturday or Sunday, don't.

It'll be like Dante's version of hell.

It’s been proper crazy for weeks now over here!

I do sympathise with retail staff this time of the year.

The shops are filled with shoppers packed like sardines, whilst the shelves look like the devastated remains of Pripyat... a ghost town.

I do not envy the poor sods that have to deal with it.

I have been trying to work out which day may be best to finish the food shop. Hoping either stupid early on the Saturday or stupid early Christmas Eve....I'm working on the Monday and don't fancy messing about

The benefits from a combination of hello fresh subscription and click and collect shopping.

Zero need for me to mix or interact with muggles. During this coming week.

Fackin’ love it!

One of our family traditions is going to Asda in the middle of the night 23/24 Dec in grey joggers & crocs.

Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, there’s bargains, no queues and a few mostly harmless zombies.

Have a feeling it was cancelled last year need to check.

7am on a Saturday morning is when I do my food shop all year round and will be doing it on the Saturday before Christmas.

couple, us we him her.

I popped into our local Waitrose yesterday usually a more civilised place it was like the government had announced that food was banned in a few days,

People going crazy buying food in huge amounts.

So I have a question for people who buy enough food to feed a small army: do you actually eat it all or do you waste a lot of it?

Mrs still has some chocolates left from last year!

I’ll admit to being one that goes mad on the food at Xmas. We do eat it though. I think I got too many different cheeses last year and had to throw some of that so not getting as much cheese this year. In Jan I tip all the left over chocs in the slow cooker, melt it then tip a load of cornflakes in and make cornflakes cakes to freeze

I have a delivery booked for 23rd. I've already bought some things that usually run out.

Nobody really cares what they eat as long as it tastes nice.

It's mostly alright around here. I've bought the duck. I need to get a big ham though, and all the stuff for the trifle. I only get paid on 23 though, and I'm not going to be able to do the big food shop until then. 😟
