Anticipation is a more general feeling of excitement or eagerness about something that is coming, without necessarily knowing exactly what it will be.

I can feel all sorts of things from being very nervous and excited like on a high of life my mind can go into over drive. I can feel rampant ready to go very wild.

If I'm honest, before a meet I'm more anxious about driving to the meet and also the parking situation to worry about nerves or excitement about the meet itself. Once there and once I'm parked, then I can start to feel those things.

It varies. Sometimes I'm playfully full of life, other times I'm irritatingly Tigger like. I always some degree of nervous energy - it's not necessarily a bad thing.

If I don't really feel any of that then I tend to cancel because, well, I'm an easily excitable person. It not being there means I'm no longer particularly interested.

The times I have it’s sort of worrying a little if I look okay, if I smell okay, am I dressed okay and trying to persuade myself that I am and to deal with nerves.

So in a sense I lose out on anticipation, I try and think through what to ask, what to talk about and of course, make sure I’m early
