How are the wonderful hedgehogs around you? They're showing in Countryfile this week. I've only seen 1 in my garden this year a small number of times, though I was pleased to see him/her run fast a couple of months ago, at dusk, (They're typically solitary animals). I picked a solitary one off the road this time last year, putting it into a neighbour's sheltered garden, after checks for health.

I love Hedgehogs, my outdoor camera picked one up the other night as he was snuffling around the garden

I remember we had them in the garden at the house I grew up in, I can remember my Dad leaving Catfood and fruit out for them and they always tipped the dish upside down

Enough food for them now, in autumn, is so important, before their hibernation. I don't leave anything that a cat can get, as next door s cat is a nightmare for them to get back indoors, if he's eaten outside.

I have huge piles of twigs and leaves, that they bury themselves into for winter

I have loads of hedgehogs, been feeding them since we realized we had them on 2017. Before midnight I will see 13-17 visit the feeding station

I had two in my garden the other year. They got lost from their home out at the front looking for slugs no doubt

I try and encourage Hedgehogs to my garden but sadly I also have a family of foxes that often frequent my garden so it's a losing battle

Hedgehogs are the best!! They look so cute, schnuffling round in the undergrowth with their little nosies. I live in a penthouse so I don’t get to see them often. I did once consider having one as a pet but they’re nocturnal and hibernate so would probably never see them.

You can buy proper hedgie food from garden centres.

It's not the foxes eating the Hedgehogs, it's your feral neighbours! 🤣🤣

We have lots around here, we often see them schnuffling around the garden if you go out in the evening, e.g. to put something in the bins.
