Around 798 days ago I saw someone in the forums here mention their DuoLingo streak and as a result I downloaded it to get started with Spanish.

How many of you use it? Which language? What’s your streak?

Mine answers are “Me, Spanish, 798”

2-3 minutes a day to try and be less of an ignorant Brit isn’t much to commit to 🤷‍♂️

My family has been doing it for ages. I’ve just started so I’m on 8 days! Trying to improve my French having had a holiday there recently. Currently very rusty o level standard. Yes I’m that old.

I am on a 2291 streak. I have used it before that too. I am learning myself, spanish, german and french.

I spend about 2hrs a day with the languages and when I do other things I like to have total immersion, so I like to put on the news or other programs in the targeted language as well

It's no substitute for face to face interaction but it can get you started. I use it to refresh my French and I've learned enough Portuguese and Spanish from it to be able to cover basic needs on holiday.
