Why is that men’s clothing always seems to be at the back of the store or up the stairs and about a fifth of the size of the ladies

Also underwear, pants, literally pants for men. Awful choices and ranges

I think there’s a huge opening in the market for clothes and underwear for men that are available in main stream shops where we don’t want to dress as teenagers nor like our grandparents and to feel good in what we wear. Wider choices and ranges available especially in underwear

I was in 3 different outdoor stores in France a few weeks ago.

They were all as you describe wth only a tiny area for menswear including one which was literally under the stairs.

The decathlon sale section was at least 80 percent mens clothing which tells me that there just isn't the same demand otherwise they would capitalise on it.

Check out some of the on line retailers for men's underwear. I don't know what type you're looking for but I've noticed a much wider range recently

Because men don't buy as many clothes or deal with fashion in the same way as women.

Even when we're advertising men's products we're usually aiming to catch the wife's eye rather than the man's because that's how to sell men's clothes.

That is actually true ! I don’t even notice the relation in men’s and women’s areas .

Mind you , my bi annual spree costs me a fucking fortune !

I wouldn't call Fred Perry a men's shop, me and the Mrs both shop there, in fact she's probably got more than me she buys all the Amy Winehouse design's, dresses, coats etc.

yes I get that but I only go to mens shops that do designer gear unless im in one of those village outlets picked a stoney in bicester the other week 117 right bargin from 280 had to be done right

And with the availability of online expect them to only get smaller.

I've never found an issue with the amount of choice on offer though.

Or finding a balance between teeanger and grandad...I think...oh god now I need to review all my clothes

Supermarkets are terrible for this.

You go past the football pitch size area of ladies clothing, then the rows and rows of kids clothes. eventually you reach the far corner of the store, a single flickering lightbulb illuminates the cobwebs covering the unkempt, untrodden path.

You fight your way through them, slaying the last Dodo in existence until you finally complete your quest to reach.....The Man Rail!

Here you have the extensive choice of a T-shirt with the national flag or a pint glass on it, couple of items with football logos (as its mandatory for men to like football eh?), a brown cardigan that fits nobody and 6500 check shirts, handing above 12 different styles of blue jeans, which actually all look the same- just in case you have the urge to look like a lumberjack.

It gets exciting near christmas, they add slippers to the range- all of which are fuck ugly grandad style things
