"I thought road tax was abolished in the 1930's, it is now vehicle excise duty. A tax based on the polutions that the vehicle makes. If electric cars have to start paying that, I am off to buy a two stroke engined motorbike. As that was a big reason to get an electric car, are they going to make classic vehicles pay the duty?" yes all vehicles pay in fact they are going to tap into everyone's bank accounts just to be fair . | |||

"Don’t start me off on this topic. Electric vehicles are more heavier on roads. Not enough charge points and who want to wait hours for the thing to charge. Using fast chargers cost as much as much as fueling a normal vehicle. As I work in a Mercedes dealership. There battery faults already. Some batteries costing £17000. Electric vehicles will need work here in the world as we know it. I could go on forever with bad points. But I hope I have given you all something to think about. " Twaddle | |||

It’s why petrol and diesel is so expensive now. The majority of the pump price is tax. | |||
