The talking point parroted by the useful idiots seems to be Joe Biden.

The political temperature has been rising in the US for decades. Something like this happening was inevitable*.

* please note that inevitable is not a synonym for good, planned, joyful, or whatever the fuck people want to read into what I'm saying. This is where the political trajectory was heading. That is all I'm saying.

Yes.

I like Vlad Vexler's take on it. That we need to tone down the rhetoric on all sides. Making politics existential leads to us seeing political opponents as enemy combatants who need to be annihilated at all costs - rather than the other side of an endeavour that we work on within a set of common rules.

Can only agree, we've seen MPs of our own murdered and some have left that public service rather than continue to receive death threats to themselves and their loved ones..

Even in this last general there has been violence towards them and no matter how we feel passionately about such things as our representation and those in opposition we should all without question condemn such acts..

I don't know enough to point fingers. I'm seeing some incredibly worrying rhetoric and a lot of conspiracy mongering. I'm sticking with a big fat "I don't know" and "I'm going to try to restrain myself until we do know more", because the last thing this bonfire of fear/anger/etc needs is more fuel.

I took it as the shooter voting against trump as a Republican candidate, so either was a republican who disliked Trump or a liberal who tried to stop Trump being a candidate.

Either way, the dude didn't like Trump.

The shooter had blanks.

He was a republican.

He was told he would be OK and this would help Trump get elected and would be given a job at The White House.

Planned by Trumps team.

Police, SS allowed the shooter onto the roof even after being warned by spectators.

Trump hit by glass shards which was shot by a 2nd sniper or possibly fake blood added when he was covered by SS.

The SS sniper that took out the shooter had him in his scope and let him take the blank shot before taking him out.

SOLVED.

I'm going into hiding now.

A fuck up which will cost I think the current head of the secret service their job, had the kid had a hunting rifle and decent scope the story would have been very different..

Be interesting to find out if the pre planning did have such basics as a specific Comms channel for the actual event or were the local law enforcement having to go to a local shared command centre ..

Rumours from his past class mates the "shooter" was a poor marksman in college.

Would he have been better off going for a target like the body rather than the head as the head moves alot and the body is a bigger mass and tends not to move much.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a hoax and he had some device to press when the timing was right to look like had been shot, if he really had been would he have really punched the air? But then it is trump.

I tend to stay away from all this but Rubik keeps up to date with stuff going on and I wouldn't be surprised if true, if there was more attempts given the stuff he wants to do in terms of law etc.

A man was killed shielding his daughters. That's not a hoax. Would even Donald Trump be prepared for someone to be murdered to make him look good?"

And this is a classic example of I should actually listen to all the news and not just make stuff up in my head, I've only heard stuff second hand as I've been away, if that is the case, then apologies.

"The far left and the establishment have shown their true colours

Heard something similar here the other day

"The establishment are trying to silence nigal farage"

Who exactly are the establishment exactly?

The establishment is always exactly who you need it to be to smokescreen who everyone should really be angry at. Adjust it at will and as necessary."

Feel sorry for the innocent victims in this playbook but do you think for minute Trump or the powerful people that wants him in The Whitehouse cares about them if this was a set up?

Trump and his backers will have access to $billions.

Pedalling it as “fake” and a “setup” is a pretty disgusting way to disrespect the memory of the deceased.

I assume you have some actual, and credible proof of the allegation you make?

Sadly, facts, proof and credibility seen to be outdated notions. Seen as a crutch used by “the establishment” and “mainstream media”

Ah I see.

So all I have to do is spout a load of old guff about, and say it’s fact! That makes it true?

People suggest this may be a setup because state propaganda gives this false impression that the state is all powerful. It doesn't matter how good any security is, all it takes is one mistake to happen at the wrong time.

A bystander was still killed, and two others may still succumb at this rate. What's disgusting is how politicians are only now trying to suggest all sides lower the rhetoric.

Yeah that’s pretty much how online world operates. Those of us who look for facts are seen as dinosaurs.

yes, the very people who have inflamed US politics are now suggesting that everyone behaves more respectfully. It won’t last
