When choosing a car?

Sagittarius A

Not particularly.

Even when I've been buying a car for pleasure rather than practical purpose, which I honestly don't see the point of now with all the speed cameras.

I had a British racing green BMW I really liked with tan leather seats. I wasn't keen on the interior at first, but it grew on me. My fav car was a White Prelude import, I didn't want white particularly either. I just loved how that car handled

Nope. Although I prefer cars that don’t show up the dirt as I very rarely wash my cars (about once a year).

My last car was black and I kept getting the feeling folk were waiting for me to burn them off at the lights.

I have a preference (grey or black) but it’s not really important to me

I'm not a fan of true red or white cars

Only ever had a true red one as a company car

Had one white one. I was constantly demented by how dirty it got

My current one is YELLOW, not yellow, but YELLOW

Thankfully, it has a black roof which tones things down a bit

Yes. Always wanted a yellow car but have never had one. I tend to go for red or bright blue as easier to find in a busy car park.

Gone and completely forgotten.

I like something that is both tasteful, but different. I hate when you see a great, stylish car, and it's lime green, or has a rainbow wrap.

My first was silver, second was black. Third I had no choice over, as it was a hand-me-down, but was also black.

My current is a sort of teal colour. Chosen as I decided it looked the best of the options available. It was a close call between a dull gold, metallic dark red, or the teal. The black and dark grey versions looked a bit crap against the matt black wheel arches/bumpers.

But I think it depends on the car itself, as to the colour which best suits.

Mine's silver which I think is boring but it was a good deal. I generally like something a little more cheerful.

I have only seen two the same colour as mine in almost a year, and keep seeing the same, identical on parked next to me in Sainsburys carpark. It's not due to drink or concussion that I see double.

I think some colours look better on some cars than others

I think a car in a colour that suits it is probably the decider for me

I usually filter without white cars in the search though

Do they still send brown ones?

I thought British Leyland used all the brown paint up on the Maxi and the Allegro

I'd like a car with a front bench seat so the dog can sit next to me

I secretly admire the Maxi

Petersfield

In the late 1970s Vauxhall marketed their Cavalier in Lime Green. Obviously all private buyers shunned that colour, so fleet buyers and Companies bought them at a big discount.

Some marketing guy at Vauxhall analysed the sales figures and concluded Lime Green was the preferred colour of fleet buyers and increased production.... you couldn't make it up

West Wales and Cardiff

I drove to Swansea yesterday (about an hour) and felt there were more green cars around at the moment. I could be wrong, of course!

I then thought that the seemed a bit harder to see from certain angles. They blended with the trees and vegetation on the roadsides a quite a bit.

It wasn’t the most scientific of studies, admittedly.

They say beggers can't be choosers... I was fortunate enough to have enough money to choose my current car. Previously I could only afford £1k bangers that might last me a couple of years if I was lucky. Take the best deal at the time, who cares about the colour.

My current car is black, my first black car too
