In the middle of watching this series, it’s really well made, and extremely powerful.

Reminded me of an experience many years ago where the woman seemed to be going the same way, thankfully it never got as bad as it did in the show.

Just a shame that thing like this actually happen to people.

Very uncomfortable to watch in places, but a brilliant drama.

I find it difficult to watch episodes back to back. They need to sink in before moving onto the next.

Binged it in a day and half. Interesting on lots of levels and also really frustrating, but I guess that’s the point, some folks who are abused or in shit situations almost find comfort and identity within it and it’s even harder to escape

Thanks for the info. I had some problems a few years ago, from someone who was eventually jailed, due to their obsessive stalking and threats. I admire the performances but I may be better, leaving it after this episode

Shocking to the core and again highlighted the equality between men and women

My heart broke for 'Donny' society and authorities need to do better.

I hope recreating this and reenacting was cathartic and there is healing

Having watched it all yesterday I would say leave it be, it might be triggering for you. It gets quite disturbing the further into it you get.

I've written on another thread about this already.

While it was disturbing it's not something that will linger with me after watching it.

I have personal experience of a stalker but to a much lesser degree and one of my daughters had a extremely bad experience for many months involving the police and hundreds of vile texts.

I also have experience of another family member who was in a relationship with a woman who literally could have been Martha.

She looked, talked and acted exactly as she did but rather than being a stalker she was committing fraud and dragged in estate agents, tradespeople, bank managers and a solicitor over a period of 6 months involving hundreds of thousands of pounds.

She was never charged because she had been sanctioned a couple of years before so everything was chalked up to MH issues but she ran a number of scams for a few years after and even ran for election on the local council.

I didn't see anything in this show that was new or shocking or that I haven't either experienced or seen on other shows.

It’s disturbing in places, and is such a bigger story than just that of a stalker, and certainly doesn’t depict a typical stalker/victim relationship.

It's not a story, a fictional one at least. It's based on the real life experiences of the actor who plays the main character, Donny.

It's such a visceral description which I suppose had the desired effect on how horrific it's supposed to be, but still...
