Have a very Happy Easter OP and everyone. Whatever everyone's personal thoughts are, is a very special day for so many and that is what matters.

One day that unites all religions is the celebration of new beginnings, fertility and new life around the spring equinox.

Whatever religion you are (or not as the case may be) enjoy the day and celebrate in whatever way you like.

Would be interesting to know how many people of committed faith there are on here, and I guess given today, how many practicing Christians are members

Even for atheists, I that this is a good time of year to consider what one can do for those around them or use the Lenten period to make positive changes to their own lives.

Happy Easter

Religiously it’s quite an important day. Spiritually there’s some interesting metaphors & lessons about faith.

Like the rolling away the stone to reveal…. An empty tomb, the fact that he chose to be reveal himself to women first , People who would unlikely be believed by ‘important’ people in that culture.

And then certain people could not believe until they saw with thier own eyes, and some even then had to experience it to believe it - ‘ I will have to see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side’

I'm thinking much more about the clash of cultures in contemporary symbolism, and the erosion of all of it through capitalism.
