For Max it’s space exploration and engineering.

For me (Dee) it’s law, probability, Everest (though I’d never, ever want to climb it) and (currently) Stone Age monuments.

What’s your nerdy pleasure?

Dee

Oh, pretty much anything I find interesting I get nerdy about. If I like a band I track down all their obscure b-sides, or I try to watch all a particular director's films. I like sci-fi (ask me anything about Dr Who), black & white horror films...the list goes on.

Even my 30 year old son still has all of his childhood lego (mostly Harry Potter & Star Wars) plus sets from the 1970s, in original boxes, that my brother gave him, except for the original Millenium Falcon..says he'll never part with that lol

I did a job for a fella with an obsession for logs his wife was at her wits end there were stores all over the garden and half way through the job he got me aside to talk in secret away from his wife and he asked me as and extra job to put a concrete base on the side of his house as he planned to “suprise” his wife with a large shed for even more logs that bloke was awesome haha

"We are massive marvel fans and stag is also a massive Star Wars geek "

I have to say I'm a lover of Star Wars. I saw The first one at the cinema Christmas 1977.. and loved everything about it since.

I don't think I qualify as a geek though as sometimes I'll be asked a question about it and I'll have no idea what the answer is.

I did have Star Wars wallpaper as a kid, and a massive Vader poster.

I don't hate any of the films.

My top two being Star Wars and Rogue One.

I despise bloody Jar Jar Binks.

Solo is the weakest of all the films.

I mean great you like volcanoes (me too visited lots). But it's illegal to take (and sand in many places). In Hawaii there's a legend that says a goddess there sets a curse upon those who take rocks as souvenirs. Good on her.

I'm exactly like this. I get interested in something and it becomes ridiculously important to me for a while - to hear every song by a particular band or read every book by a particular author, or to explore a genre of film I'd not previously much bothered with. And then I move onto another one.

That's interesting. What sort of stuff do you make?.. I bought a little sequencer box thing from an independent maker on etsy, a few months ago..for all the synths ive got.

I've got loads of instruments, I'm nerdy about recording/composing music.

I'd say I can play about 6 or instruments well, like piano guitar, drums and their derivatives..(like bass, ukelele & percussion etc.)

But then I have a collection of unusual instruments that I cannot play at all really. Like the kora I'm looking at the end of the room. It's like an ancient African harp..but I'm keeping it for recording samples with it.

My nan’s spare room.

It’s not nerdy, well I don’t think so, but birdwatching.

I saw an egret whilst driving down the M6 near Stafford last week.

"For Max it’s space exploration and engineering.

For me (Dee) it’s law, probability, Everest (though I’d never, ever want to climb it) and (currently) Stone Age monuments.

What’s your nerdy pleasure?

At the moment it’s plants and birds. I’m trying to grow a mini veg patch (tomatoes, chilli’s, radishes). I’ve also set up bird houses and feeding places on my balcony so I just watch and listen to them.

Makes me feel like an old man, but it’s relaxing.
