"I'm not the chattiest, but my head is always noisy with a million thoughts. I cannot comprehend having no internal monologue, it must be quite peaceful. " It's incredibly peaceful I must admit. You could probably hear a pin drop in there lol.

"My mind is constantly loud and buzzing…it’s when it gets silent that I worry lol. " May I ask why you get worrisome when you're mind goes quiet?

"What I’d give for no internal monologue! It’s a cacophony in here!" Ah bless you Estella.

"Interesting, mine never usually shuts up and I'm very quiet in person. " On the other hand, i'm quiet in person mainly because there's not much happening inside my mind lol.

"I do have an internal monologue but I suffer from aphantasia and anhedonia. The former is an inability to fantasise and the latter an inability to experience pleasure. Luckily I'm not at the extreme edge of the anhedonia spectrum as I'm ok in the moment so my internal monologue is more about what is happening right now rather than excitement or anticipation of something to come or an analysis of things that have already happened. " Aphantasia is really similar to lack of an internal monologue for me, in the sense that it’s really hard to conceive. Genuinely hard to imagine not being able to visualise things.

"I'd love that. I get brief moments of it during certain things but most of the time my mind is chaotic. Like right now I have about eight different things running through my mind. Maybe I wouldn't actually like it that much. It would be a relief at first but I might find it disconcerting. Are you happy with it OP?" Awh do you think? Gosh! that sounds intense Meli. If that were me, by the end of the day or even by midday, I'd be knackered lol. It would be a bit strange at first probably, but then eventually you'd get used to it, perhaps. Good question. Hm, well as my mind has always been this way, it just feels natural to me so I'm neither happy or unhappy with it, same thing with being on the spectrum I guess. It just 'is' if that makes sense? I love the peace it gives me, but also it can be hard to socialise too because my mind is fairly empty unless I really focus on actively thinking.

"No inner monologue sounds heavenly. Mine is more like a d*unk debate team rave where no one likes me and doesn't mind saying so " Oh jhee! That sounds.. interesting. Sorry to hear that.

"Narrator. - Woody reads the post, - nods in agreement with a smile which turns into a small laugh. …. He now shakes his head knowing that he knew he wasn’t the only one who has a friendly voice inside his head…. "

"mine is a voice over by Wylie Coyote" I had to think about this for a minute. It might be the deepest comment seen today. Meep, meep

I love the peace it gives me, but also it can be hard to socialise too because my mind is fairly empty unless I really focus on actively thinking." It is intense but also... I like it. I like that my mind is constantly on the go and yet it can find respite and comfort in things. I like that I'm able to process several things, think about a multitude - it has, does and always will serve me well in work when you're having to think about multiple steps in order to achieve the desired outcome. The nuances, the little details that might be skipped over. It just is makes perfect sense. Being neurospicy isn't a gift, but equally, it's not a curse. I hate when people say it's a strength. Or treat it like it's something bad. It's neither. It just is. Much the same way our minds different ways of operating is.

"Do you count in your head?" I do this... a lot! Every step I take, when I'm chopping vegetables, listening to the clock ticking. But I rarely have a voice in my head. Except when I'm overthinking

"Like most of the women who've contributed, I have constant thoughts (voices) in my head. If I spend more than a day on my own, I start talking them out loud. Research (I presume scanners) show women's brains (including trans women) are wired differently. OP, have you ever learnt a new language? Due to my heritage (Chinese Malaysian), I can speak four languages (most recent acquisition is BSL, British Sign Language). I think in different languages too and when my brain started to think in sign language, it felt like a dormant part of my brain suddenly coming alive." I can switch between my brain operating in English and Spanish pretty easily, but it's not an actual voice or a monologue. I dunno how to describe it
