Has anyone shown interest in you and you were just too dumb to notice?

Possibly, but as I can't take hints I have no idea if this has happened or not!

Sorry being a bit facetious there.

I was once told by a couple (much later on) one night at the Attic - that I had been talking to that if I’d asked I could have played - but I just didn’t get ‘that’ vibe from them…

Kicked myself aplenty that night.. lol.

Yes and I've been told so subsequently. I tend to approach it all from the point of view of no, they're not really interested unless it's from a) my fiancé and b) a person. I'm not hint friendly.

Frequently so. I am always genuinely surprised when someone shows an interest in me in that way so I rarely pick up on it.

I'm chatting to someone on fab at the moment and I am uncertain whether our chatting has progressed to flirting.

This is purely due to my difficulty in thinking that she might be interested in me beyond chatting.

This has happened to me frequently. I have been chastised on many a club night for not making my interests clear.

I'm so bad at hints the person could be naked with a sign saying fuck me and I still wouldn't realise

Well I think you are gorgeous and, having read your forum posts for a while, would delight in meeting you in person.

Absolutely, well what other explanation can there be for the apparent lack of interest in me, it must be frustrating for them too.

I think people are showing interest but then it becomes evident they aren't interested at all.

That happens a lot.

I assume everyone is just being nice so people do need to be really obvious about it.

Sometimes my insecurity even has me questioning that though!

When they lean in to kiss me. That’s usually when I finally pick up on the signals and realise that they were flirting the whole time.

I’d have to shift to DMs to give you more detail. Don’t want to get told off (again) for being graphic in public …

On here? Don't really have to second guess, to be honest. Most men just say they want to sex here - couldn't be easier.

Unless.. they approach in a friendly chatty forumite way. Then it's an auto-friend zone.

Many times.

This extends to other areas of life too. .

I remember walking in Australia years ago with a girlfriend and a car slowed down and the driver asked if we were going to "x" (can't remember the town)..& I replied no & we were going to a slightly different location. He smiled and said ok & drove away.

The girlfriend was flabbergasted-and explained he was offering us a lift...

We then continued walking in the baking brisbane sun..
