Tin town

Do you fill it to the brim? Till the pump stops? Or do you put in 60 quids worth? How do you like your tank filled?

Paradise, Herts

This reminded me of something I read somewhere when people were complaining about how the price of petrol had gone up so much. Someone said “well it won’t affect me, I only ever put £20 in”

I used to put a set amount in the tank, now I prefer 90% battery charge at least.

Always fill it until the pump clicks...then trickle it to the next pound.

I wonder if mpg is higher the less fuel you have as the car weighs less

Fill it up. I dislike using filling stations, especially when cold, so the fewer times the better

"I wonder if mpg is higher the less fuel you have as the car weighs less "

Yes and apparently if you gently press the nozzle you get more for your money too.

I put fuck all in unless I'm doing a long journey.

Less fuel = less weight = better economy

Plus if someone nicks it they won't get far unless they stop to fill up and every petrol station has cameras.....

Depends if it's the car or motorbike. Car nozzle full in and fill until the pump cuts out. Bike? Jiggle, wiggle and fill until just over the inner brim owing go lean when on the side stand. Yes, it takes longer to fuel up the bike than than car. It's an art

My car is bi-fuel so I only have quarter of a tank of petrol and then I fill it right up on gas…it’s about £30 for a full tank of gas.

I just fill it until it's full. But I do try and round it to an amount ending in a 5 or 0. I can't leave it at £63.47 or something like that, I just can't do it, I'm not wired that way

Have an LFP battery EV and we do 100% all the time as it doesn't degrade these batteries

Depends on finances.

If its a splash n dash then about £10-15.

If filling up, its on centre-stand and all the way up to the brim.
