"My hair is curly. Afro curly - a mix of 3a and 3b curls. I'd love to have straight hair. Sometimes I think about getting it relaxed or a texture release or heck even a good weave but then other times I like my hair. It's frizzy though. Doesn't keep a hairstyle neatly. I get it trimmed every six to eight weeks as I'm trying to grow it. Products wise? I love Coco and Eve hair masques. A good silk bonnet. I also really love Bouclème if I'm wearing it natural. And a scalp massager! I'm currently thinking about wearing it natural for a social - I need to find a good casting gel though. " Meli Also I dunno if you’ve ever had braids? But you would look so so good with box braids

Today I was looking at someone to possibly do goddess box braids because I'm sick of my siblings sending me hard wig soft life TikToks. I don't wear a wig. Never have. I like the look of Boho ones as well but my head is a bit soft and I'm afraid of Aunties who will tell me I'm being soft and I have to sit for hours getting it done. What's the pain levels like for you when you get it braided?

Curly hair is beautiful. I had dreadlocks in a few months ago, but have short hair now/at the moment. Getting them put back in again once my hairs long enough. Can't wait

"My natural hair is curly. Short curly hair looks terrible on me. So I took the radical approach to a bad hair day… and I will never grow my hair out. I did it once after shaving my head, and till it was inches below my chin I hated the sight of it. " Well you're certainly owning the look! Go you!!

"I have a natural wave to mine once washed, conditioned and dried. Probably down to my shoulders now. " Guys always have nicer hair than women (in my experience) it's not fair

When R and I first got together he had a great head of hair, now he's 36 and completely bald on top. Some say it's the stress of living with me, I call bullshit

"Bit sexist... Shout out to Moroccan Oil Curl Defining Cream. Takes my frizz right out and gives me decent curls. " Curl or wave definition products - if you find one you love, cling to it. I use cheap cheap gel. Imagine the crunchy bleached tips of the early 00s - that shit. And a fuckton of it.

"Hmmmmmmmmm Well I use a Remington shaver on my head and Wilkinson sword razors elsewhere. Nice Nivea aftershave balm feels good once shaved." Bit off topic but someone here might find it useful, nivea post shave balm is also really good to use as make up primer

When I get it done my hairdresser does it really tight so it hurts a bit. But I’m tough

"Mine is super straight... I actually love it but crimp or curl it occasionally " Mine too and due to itchy scalp, I wash and condition my hair every morning when I shower... When it's semi-dry, I gather the length (to mid back) twist and crimp in a bun on my crown for some height. By the afternoon, it's dry with waves. With a bit of susshing gives it volume.

"My hair is bone straight and I love it wavy/curly but I just can’t seem to get it to hold! " I have just bought myself a triple barrel curler... It works like crimpers where the whole of the section is heated rather than just the bit around the barrel... It holds much better... Crimping has been the only thing that stays in mine until now

Crimping has been the only thing that stays in mine until now" If I have a daytime event, like a wedding or BBQ garden party, I would wash my hair the night before and while semi-dry would use those sponge stick (wire inside) curlers and sleep in them. I'll have virtually an afro hair in the morning that gradually relaxes into big curls by the evening.
