Are you happy? Is it too much, just about right? Are you happy to stay or looking for some sort of way out? Self employed, is it working for you or a bit of a struggle? And if you are employed, is your employer good at looking after your well being?

It's alright. It's a bit boring now but it pay okay for the industry and I have a good deal of flexibility, so I don't want to look the gift horse in the mouth, so to speak.

Unfortunately in an industry where company only believes in profit and client have been actively seeking a better job within the same industry mental health never exists for this company even though they pride themselves on mental awareness

In terms of actual career development and learning new skills, it's kinda shit and I'm spinning my wheels. But my salary is pretty decent for what I do and the flexibility is there as well

Hell

The money is good for what the job is.

But the flexibility and support just isn’t there (considering I’m very flexible with my working hours and do them lots of favours, it doesn’t go both ways)

I’ve had a really difficult time over the past year, including being diagnosed with PTSD. After which, they wouldn’t give me fireworks night off after someone had booked it first. I think I need something else.

Unfortunately not enjoying mine these days and with an incompetent line manager who doesn't have a clue what they are doing themselves never mind what any of my team do, doesn't fill me with confidence that anything is going to change. Just the nature if the establishment who employs me.

After over 15 years working in retail, I now work from home Mon- Fri which I love, however the senior management within the company are appalling. The workload is excessive and we get very little support. It could be so much better if they were proactive rather than reactive, but they either don’t care or are thick as mince.

My main job....overworked at times, not paid what your worth, a new start with no experience can start on not much less than me .

My second job (just a different department) I love, boss is the polar opposite and rewards good work, I've had two pay rises in the 6 months I've been doing it and we're treated really well with bonuses that aren't stupidly unachievable (unlike the other job) and treated to meals out at least 4 times a year minimum all expenses paid.

I travel 250 miles round trip to work In Reading, I wanted to work for the Brand, but I’m starting to hate the team I work with, the money is great,

But we have negative people in the team, that are starting to suck my energy up.

I spent most of my time in the office and starting to think should I move back to the midlands

Much prefer to be employed than self employed. I’ve had two of my own companies and hated it.

I’ve always enjoyed my work and had huge amounts of respect for the companies, my managers and leadership teams I’ve chosen to work for. I think this makes a big difference when things get tough you cope well.

Yeah the only downside is I literally never switch off totally from it. The pros outweigh the cons for me though.

However, we're constantly fire fighting and I'm underpaid for the responsibility I have, though that will improve when I qualify.

Job is boring, poorly paid. I hate the company, they brag to anyone who will listen about what a great employer they are and how well they look after their staff but it’s all lip service. They place no value on me, my skills/experience or my job.

I’d love to leave but having ASD complicates things, less 20% of ASD people keep a full time job and getting another is incredibly difficult.

I try to balance out work life by really trying to make the most of my time outside of work but it o my goes so far. Sooner or later something’s got to give.

As for the work, i don't really enjoy it.

I quite like it- best job I’ve had.

I just wish I weren’t so damn tired all the time…but it comes with the territory.

Also people can be very difficult. I’ve worked in customer facing roles for 28 years. It’s tiring sometimes.

But I’m happy. I’ve been able to give my family amazing travelling experiences that we could have only dreamed about if I were doing anything else. And it’s all about making memories.

My job is really convenient and has a lot of flexibility which suits me and my life perfectly! I used to enjoy it a lot more but there’s been some big changes that have made it a lot less enjoyable.

Overall I’m really grateful it pays what I need it to and it works for my schedule! Not many people are so lucky unfortunately
