Mine are rough as fuck, lots of cuts, scars etc, good pain threshold on them to the point I can slowly pinch out a cigarette without it hurting or hold a scalding black tea by the cup and not the handle with no issues. I've always worked with them and never really liked wearing gloves, I'd rather take the torn skin than work numb with gloves on.

They're still delicate enough I can tie a fly or thread a needle though
