First of all apologies as earlier I said that was my last thread for yoday but I have a dilemma. I had a big dinner but still feel peckish and going to have some cheese and biscuits. I have, brie, manchego, gouda, mature cheddar and blue cheese. Can you please help me choose? One cheese only, thanks.

Maybe an old wives tale but doesn’t cheese before bed give you nightmares?

No, usually will go for a bit of everything but only want one tonight with some green olives and biscuits and a glass of red. Still time to decide

Possibly, though tempted with a harder one like the manchego or the gouda as they usually go well with some nice big green olives that I am having it with

The unanswered question though. When you have finished your wine and cheese selection how will you get out of Asda? Haven’t they locked up already?

In that case I'd go with the brie

I'd go for blue cheese or mature cheddar. Manchego can lay a bit heavy and brie can be a little mild after a meal I find.

I was hoping a good cheesophilic will pop up. Looks like mature cheddar is sort of winning so far though brie is close behind.

I reckon you need a small plate with a piece of brie and cheddar, good butter and just enough biscuits for the cheese and a glass of red.

So here we go. I am going with a bit of cheddar, a bit of brie (as both close), green olives, biscuits and a large glass of barolo. Thanks everyone and cheers

Cheddar or the blue cheese.

Or both!

With pickled onions. It is almost Christmas after all

Paper Town Central, Essex.

It's too late for cheese.

It'll sit heavy at this late hour.

If you do, it should be a soft cheese.

Not a veined one either.
