What are you blowing your own trumpet about.

Having been a heavy smoker for 46 years I've now gone 7 months without a cigarette. Over to you

Excellent! Congrats.

I am three quarters of the way through making a cardigan and hope to be even further forward tonight. The thing I'm blowing my trumpet about is that I have woven the ends in as I've gone .

If men could 'blow our own trumpets' then most of us probably wouldn't be here?

Good job we don't live in Jericho then . I admit that I do not enjoy the end weaving and it's taken a lot of discipline to do it

Congratulations! That is brilliant. do you feel better for it?

Well done OP! That's fantastic.

I have only napped once (yesterday, after a massage) in the afternoon so far this month, in an effort to improve my sleep. And I think it's actually working.

Well done OP keep it up. I've trimmed all my bushes back, and it actually looks like someone who knows what they're doing did it.

Chipping Norton

I have shown immense tolerance to a colleague, offering them icy politeness when justifiable homicide was clearly reasonable. Letters of congratulation from the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Chief Rabbi and the Chief Imam are doubtless on their way, as well as a certificate of achievement (and a tribute of jam) from the local Women's Institute.

This evening I have scritched the cat's chin and constructed a cheese and tarragon souffle. Next on the to-do list is to finish reading a cheerful book, check on a recently bereaved friend, then find some uplifting pulp to watch on TV before an early night and more work tomorrow.

I am a Man of Achievement. Let the trumpets sound.
