There are people the can, and do, post often. There are people, like me, that can’t post often.

It’s no surprise that those who post often have more interactions….

All over

No sign, just a 6 symbol code from the 19 standard reply emojis so you could in theory break it but you have to potentially try 27132 combinations. It could be fun though if you have the time and all the best to you

Manchester-ish

People keep taking the signs. They're a highly sought after collectible. Due to this, current signs are just a bit of cardboard with "cLiQUe" written in black Sharpie.

If you dare to disagree with one of them in the forums, then the off-site chat groups will coordinate a response where they will pounce on you like a pack of wolves in the forums, mass report to admin and generally harass you across multiple unrelated threads until you think “sod this for a game of charades” and UNLOS and then publicly whoop and cheer at your demise.

Or at least that’s how it used to work c2016-2019.

It may be different now?

Do they exclude? Or are they just under no obligation to respond to every single person that makes a comment? Do we all go around and talk to every single person at a big party of strangers? Or do we spend the majority of our time and attention on those we feel drawn to and easily get on with?

I can imagine some will view me as in this clique, I can also imagine that some of the people i really don't like are also in this clique. I expect people I have never interacted with whatsoever will also apparently be in my clique depending who you ask.

The clique name. List will differ person to person.

"Of course there is!!..I've been on here longer than most(about 15 years on and off) and I'm definitely not in that group that likes to think they're special because they post on the forums and have regular public banter with each other and "exclude " newbies.

What's wrong with banter between friends - it's what makes it fun here.

I think newbies can feel easily excluded. Not sure it's purposeful though.

Didn't say there was anything wrong with banter !..and of course newbies can feel excluded especially if they are jumped on by the special group of posters Careful Pap… …..

Haha its fucking coming, I can feel it!!..I've been on holiday from the forums more times than I care to remember...what I have noticed is it fecking annoys them when you don't "recognise them ".. twits "

Does it really matter?

Why waste time thinking 'there's a clique' when there's thousands of others to interact with.

I don't give 2 shits if A knows B, B knows C. A knows C because they've met in real life and get on or they have similar personality when they write on the forums.

Complain about the clique, but you wouldn't want to be in it, right?? Or is that the complaint? Your not in it.

"What are the signs? "

I lost track in this conversation but if you are seriously asking... Here are my two thoughts.

1. There aren't cliques persay. (I know I can't spell but you hopefully understand)

I think people generally get on with others better or have developed relationships which they can communicate easier with. This leads to freer more engaging conversations.

You may feel there is a clique because your opinion/comments don't hit home as easily as someone they already know/trust.

2. There are perceived barriers to being "accepted" into conversations/thread comments. Basically people are rightfully cautious about just accepting anyone's opinion or comments especially if the person commenting is immediately wanting to be the centre of attention.

Works the same in any social setting. If a person just strolls up to you and your friend group and starts chatting your initially be wary until you figure out what they are about.

If that person is being over baring then you'd probably try to ignore them.

You have to have to take time to just be yourself and comment and take part in the threads you find enjoyment in. Before you know it you'll be getting viewed as a clique member of whatever thread you are on by someone else.

Now I clearly have to much time on my hands today and have verbally been sick on here. Digest at your own peril. (Again spelling and grammar aren't my strong point)

"This conversation has been going on for so many years, surely the clique will have all died of old age by now.

We pick our successor. It's a fun bonding process.

Do you wear masks, sacrifice chickens and drink the blood of virgins?

Ever seen the Stonecutters episode of the Simpsons? "

To be honest I’m glad I quit when I did. The membership badge starts to tarnish after a while. The secret handshake was fun though

I'm in the Clinique clique. Does that count?

But just for clarity, do people believ there is a single forum Clique (TM). Or are there various different cliques?

I'm hoping that it's the latter and then there is some kind of clique gangwar that plays out on the forums.

"What are the signs?

With how many years people have been whining about this mystery group of elite swingers that run Fab, you'd think a members list would have leaked by now

LvMThe groups or cliques are special invite only so only those in them know, unless they've been bludgeoned by them

Yeah but not even the conspiracy theory opinion list is leaked.

Even Epstein's list has "oh X is definitely on it" Y?

No, Y was busy at the other shady place with piZZa. "

You know when people spend a lot of energy worrying about the clique? What those evil bastards are up to?

Why not invest that energy in making a positive contribution? Talking to different people. Being inclusive. Starting new threads. Include newbies. Not giving that energy to moans and whinges but actually useful things.

Just a thought.

This too! I find my energy goes in to being a sarcy bastard where and when I see fit. Majority of the time aimed at those I know won't get upset by my sarcy bastardness.

Otherwise that energy is the wasteful diverted to trying to care that I upset somebody.

"Many attest to its authenticity, so it could be true "

Perspectives and whatever anyone wants to see as true they will.

That applies to both sides of course. But the whole clique thing is soley based on perspectives alone. Some people will fight to the death for what they choose to. Believe weather they are right or wrong.

Didn't say there was anything wrong with banter !..and of course newbies can feel excluded especially if they are jumped on by the special group of posters

You implied it. If people are jumping on newbies that's not good. Although to be fair sometimes newbies say some bloody stupid things and deserve pushback.

And regular forum users don't?!..

Where did I say that?

have a nice day with your giraffe "

A few people know each other from clubs or just regularly posting on here. I have heard from some that there is a WhatsApp group with a few members, who encourage each other to pick on certain people. However even if there was I can’t imagine they’d do much damage.

The majority of the site don’t post on the forums, you’re in a niche group if you do. So this clique doesn’t really have that much power or influence.

"If you dare to disagree with one of them in the forums, then the off-site chat groups will coordinate a response where they will pounce on you like a pack of wolves in the forums, mass report to admin and generally harass you across multiple unrelated threads until you think “sod this for a game of charades” and UNLOS and then publicly whoop and cheer at your demise.

Or at least that’s how it used to work c2016-2019.

It may be different now?

Na, they tried that and I'm still about "

There is no clique .. it’s just that I am more comfortable with my friends and tend to stick with and speak to them in our friendship group and exclude people I don’t know. What’s wrong with that?

Said with absolutely NO irony at all
