Pointers for single males

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

I’ve started this thread off the back of a horrible thread I’ve seen today.

Can we all please give in detail examples of how you would like single men to message you.

I don’t have high hopes for this thread but if it does well it will help a lot of men out there if they read it.

Now my honest opinion is even if your message is a shitty one attraction is the main factor and your message covers the small percentage after. If the receiver is not attracted to you no matter how good your message is it doesn’t matter

Precisely. That's why we don't go into great detail on our profile about what we like, don't like and how we want people to message us. If we did people would just say what they think we want to hear rather than how they would normally open. It's a filter that works well.

Hi foxy you are entitled to your opinion and belief. I have only started this thread to help people who may have certain mental and health issues or have struggled with socialising or making connections with people. We can’t assume everyone has these skills as a lot of people have been through different things in life that shape them and cause them not to have certain skills.

My point for this thread is not to be argumentative, but to be helpful for the people that might need it

Please try to understand and if you don’t agree with me then you don’t have to and don’t post on the thread

Read the profile and let the message reflect that.

Don't flash your dick unless they ask you too.

Humours always a winner.

Be respectful.

That's usually the basics of it but to be honest, attraction is the most important. Even with the best message in the world, if the person isn't attracted they aren't gonna reply.

Hi wanna chat?

Isn't a message it's a question.

A simple introduction of yourself something unique to the profile of the person who you are messaging to ensure it's not a lazy cut and paste and possibly a brief summary of your expectations ie are you looking for something long term or a one off.

No blowing smoke up the ladies arse "wow your the best looking woman on here" be polite and honest and leave it at that, not an essay.

If you spark an interest they'll message back and finally and this is the big one

DON'T message back ten mins later saying something like " oh I guess you are not interested" that's the best way to get no response.

Always always read the profile

No dick pics upon first message… unless their profile asks for them

Be respectful if you don’t get a reply

Easy

1. Don't send a dick pic unless it's asked for

2. Make your opening line funny or quirky

3. Attach a face pic

4. Have a sense of humour

That's just my opinion

Also, and this is just me, if your profile shows your face I'll automatically delete the message. Discretion is paramount for me and I don't get the vibe that that person is if their face is public

The vast majority of fab don't use the forums. Only a tiny percentage in fact.

Those who have difficulty reading and understanding profiles won't be taking the time to read and understand the forums.

Advising people how to tick boxes isn't of any benefit to either side.

its a forum people can reply thats how forums work i gave my opinions and i stand by them purely from a swinging point of view

any ill heath or disability is not nice and should be treated with respect just like everyone else this is not about that, this is about telling people how to write a message that is truly not themselves .... if a guy message me and i like what i saw and his messages were decent then his mental health would not come into question just as any other disability would not either

i once met a guy who could not read or write and suffered big mental health issues going back to childhood i never knew at the time but its come out in convo over 30 years of seeing him for fun but point im making is i met him because of him and not his issues....
