Shoved it full up earlier but will take it off again in a bit. Not the best method maybe but I tend to do it that way quite a lot. I just think that if I don't notice the cold (ie when the heat goes away) I don't mind it so much! It can be a bugger sometimes when you suddenly do really feel it though I guess. pt

I do put it on sometime. My boiler is in an outbuilding. I have the frost stat set to -5°, which overrides the thermostat inside and the heating kicks in regardless. Currently sat in tee shirt and shorts, with the heating off!

I've had to defrost the car twice this week - Sunday and Monday mornings. That's pretty chilly!

I have my heating set at around 21, for a few hours morning and evening, but if I get a chilly I light my wood burner stove, If I leave the doors open it more or less heats the whole bungalow.
