La la land

Not confidence in the way you look, that's something we discuss a lot on the forum.

I want to know something that you are confident at doing. Be that parallel parking, swimming, making an awesome souffle etc. Whatever it is what's that thing you're confident at doing.

Extra bonus point questions. Do you realise you're confident at these things? Or are they so ingrained in you you kind of forget? Do you think others recognise your confidence?

I suppose I didn't realise I was confident at things until I saw an average person struggle.

I wouldn't give a moments thought to canoeing white water, doing a 10k or travelling alone. But the idea of driving a car or going in a classroom fills me with dread.

I'm confident at parallel parking. I can slot my estate car into the tightest of spaces and it's all using one hand to steer and controlling the clutch with my middle finger.

I'm confident at my job, I know that's evident to people.

I'm confident in most settings to be honest. My lack of confidence is in my appearance mainly.

I’ve never been confident in work, really. I, do, however, feel confident when speaking in front of others, which is a significant element of it.

I also have a hobby, which has turned into a “side-hustle”. Again, it involves being creative and performing for people (no, it’s not Only Fans!). For some reason, I’m really confident in what I do with that, to the point of not caring if people don’t like it.

That’s never been me really, and it a bit of a revelation to feel that way .

I'm confident in my ability with words. Not confident enough to write a blog entry that's not anonymous but I'm confident in my ability to use language fairly well.

I think it's more that I have a passion for language, the myriad of ways we can convey a sentiment, depict a scene accurately. The power they can hold. The silliness, the lust. I love language so perhaps that's where my confidence comes from.

I was going to write something far smuttier but saw the time and thought nope. Not yet Meli.
