Melanin production can be activated through solar exposure, meaning that a prolonged time exposure to the sun could make your eyes darker. Certain emotions can change the size of your pupil and the iris color. When you are happy, angry, or sad, your body releases a hormone that makes your pupil size change.

I have blue/green eyes and the colour changes depending on lighting and mood. My eyes can go any shade from grey, to blue to green. Maybe yours are the same

Have you had an eye test recently? Might be worth getting it checked out.

Good call. Lots of health issues can be spotted from eye changes/checks x

Yeah I've always been aware that my eyes turn darker when my mood changes for worse but it appears as though I seem to have permanent dark eyes now even though I'm not in a mood.. I'll start sleeping in a coffin

I don't know what colour mine are and if I ask people no one agrees. But I have a lot of colours in them. I googled once and closest match to me is central heterochromia. So the centre of my eyes are a pale gold/brown and then the rest is a green/blue/grey with a dark ring

I have hazel eyes. When I drink 12 pints of Guinness and a few Sambucas the next morning they are quite red. I think.
