I started a thread on Steve Coogan the other day.

His performance was amazing.

However I felt physically sick throughout most of it and had to fast forward a few scenes.

Paused a few times to cry and felt almost like I was a victim after watching.

Two days on and it's still in my head.

It's like I wish I hadn't watched it but like it needs to be watched to help prevent anything like that happening again.

Half way through the third episode. I'm well passed the feelings of horror and disgust but can't help wondering why if I was creeped out by him every time I saw him on TV in the 70s and 80s and rolled my eyes as I got older that no-one working with him had the balls to speak out.

I'm not a Coogan fan at all but I'll take my hat off to him for an amazing job which had to be done.

It's ironic though that it's made by ITV studios for the BBC.

Not a coogan fan in the least but he did obviously spend hours on perfecting the voice..

The continuality was off,in the first episode it's mentioned his mother ( the "Duchess").had died,next scene she's moving into a hotel..

No mention in episode 1 of his starting work in the mines..Within 5 mins of running the Mecca dance hall in Leeds he's running a white

Rolls Royce ...seemingly..

Steve coogan was amazing in this. Absolutely nailed savile, in looks, mannerisms and speech.

The program really highlighted how the atmosphere changes when, as a victim, you realise the situation has gone bad.

Just finished episode 3 and agree that it's very well done. For those of you that haven't seen it I recommend the Netflix documentary and him, truly scary and genuinely upsetting. A hard watch but worth it.

I think the BBC had no choice really, they couldn’t have made it themselves for fear of being labelled biased. It was certainly right for them the screen it, they have to hold their hands up.

It was uncomfortable viewing and I initially refused to watch it, then I read that the victims were being featured. Kind of felt like a duty to watch it

Coogan was outstanding and must of pushed his limits as an actor

Watch all four episodes over two nights. Not because I was enjoying it but the opposite as I was finding myself getting more angry. Angry he got away with it, his arrogance (Coogan was superb and I can’t think of anyone else playing him) and how the victims were treated.

I disliked him when he was alive and thought he looked creepy when I was a child. Jim’ll Fix It was a Saturday night regular in our house but I couldn’t see why he presented it, he just looked weird.

Hope he’s burning in hell.

Excellent reminder of what is happening under our noses and will be happening now. We all always have to be vigilant.

Steve Coogan played the part brilliantly, it's just a pity it is a true story.

You misunderstood it's been dealt with and victim's have had years to recover from their ordeal them boom as a reminder things like that should remain in the archives not public display and should anyone want to explore further

They were known to be behind most of the covering up and having statues attached to the building made by a child abuser which they declined to remove
