Did your fibroids get spotted before hand? I got a letter after my op saying they’d found some "I was referred because my GP couldn't fit a Mirena coil as the fibroids had changed the shape of my uterus. I had scans where they found the fibroids and as nothing else was a viable option I had the hysterectomy. Afterwards, the surgeon came to see me in the ward and said I had one large fibroid and a massive one that had doubled the size of my uterus. | |||

Last year I was put on iron tablets because my iron level was super low, before that I would look pale, be breathless and just feeling exhausted to the point where I could not function properly, that along with cramps are like an early labour pain. Periods have always been heavy and it doesn't help that I take apixaban. As for sex forget it, I can remember my period starting during sex once and it was like a murder scene.
