From the land of haribos.

I sometimes end up with few. I dont throw them away. I think that others would like it instead and as it is free its a bonus, so I put it outside beside the bin for anyone to take, do you do the same? They are usually gone within few hours

We don't have unwanted tinned food as I only buy what we use.

Tinned plum tomatoes for my pasta sauces.

Heinz beans.

Soup for my son for late evening supper, 'cos I'm not cooking that time of night.

The occasional tin of sweet corn or Heinz Ravioli for me.

He bought a tin of cheese ravioli and it lived in the cupboard for 5 years because nobody eats that shit...

I don't buy tinned food that we don't like so it all gets used.

Mostly have tinned tomatoes for sauces, baked beans, tuna, salmon, occasional sweetcorn, chicken soup.

I'm ashamed to say I cleaned out our food cupboards the other day and filled a whole bin bag of stuff that was out of date. It all went in the bin.

We tend to run our food stocks down, especially when feeling the pinch at the end of the month so rarely have food waste.

We go and see my parents about once a month and for some reason we always leave looking like we've been in a tombola, my dad always over orders or gets some obscure thing delivered as a substitute and won't give them back! So we end up with them...we have about 880 Tetley tea bags we probably won't use but I'll take them to work with me as I hate using work supplies.

It's rare I have tinned stuff that we don't eat but if it does happen, it gets donated. My youngests school is always doing a food drive for the local food bank so I give it to them.

Between Chichester and Havant

The only reason I would throw tinned food away is if the tins have gone rusty. Even if a couple of years old and still in good condition I would eat the contents.

I don't understand why it would be unwanted.

You bought it previously, so if you're not using it today, just keep it till you do want/need it.

Not like it's going off in that can.
