FabSwingers.com forum: Pay sites??

Just recently..well over the past few months, we've noticed a great increase in time wasting and wasters...and noticed that some profiles are only on for a short time or don't log on again after the first few days...It is without doubt that this is because it's too easy for people to simply have a nosey at what goes on here because this is a free site...We have been members of a couple of other sites but let our membership lapse because we were enjoying the fun on this site.

Has anybody else a similar experience/s or thoughts?..Does anybody still use a pay site as well as Fab?

We used to be members of another site which was a paid site, since joining here, we've let our membership expire over there, much prefer the freedom of this site, the choice whether to upgrade or not should always be with the member.

I started out in Aug 09 on a paid site that shares its database with a number of similar sites, and was recommended to try FAB instead.

I initially paid for 3 months subscription that expired recently, and had messages that I did not have the chance to reply. Hence I renewed my subscription for another month, replied to outstanding messages, and have added info in my profile about not renewing my subscription after a certain date.

To my sin, I have recommended those I thought are quite nice who contacted me via the paid site to FAB.

Some of them found it fun and have been successful in meeting people for fun.

Others, well, let's say they did not find it fun on the paid site, not on FAB either, and are unlikely to find fun whether/whatever they do.

Harsh, I know, however, they are dead boring to start with, and leopards do not change their spots!

im a member for a couple of pay sites, to be honest tho neither of them are any better than this one so to me they not worth their money

Im a member of a pay site. I prefer FAB ... I have never had a no show.

we are on one pay site and have been for the last 3 yrs but as most of the ppl we talk to on there are now on fab and the paid site is not what it was i dont think we wont be paying for another yr on it

I definitely shan't be renewing my subscription!

If peeps think the quality of the messages are dire, then those coming from peeps on paid sites are even worse!!!

I am grateful for the paid site though, as there's where Mr Hot Date and I found each other.

2 other playmates found me via the paid site too

However, I have since found potential playmates via FAB

none of the other sites have such a good scottish community than fab's......obviously Scotland does not have a swinging club scene as such and the 3 clubs we do have in my opinion are not upto much.......so the scottish scene on here is fab........way better than any pay site.....we only use fabs now.

i use a paid site, my subscription ran out, i only havnt renewed cuz Richy has an account that was free years ago before the charges came into force,

and yeah i use it, i've met and made a lot of friends on there who i'l always stay in touch with

You get time wasters on ALL sites, regardless of whether or not you pay to use them.

The only problem with paysites is that the majority of the tossers on them, assume that they are entitled to a shag because they've paid to use it.

Stick with FAB, at least you don't have to part with your hard earned money, only your sanity!!

It makes my deleting excapades alot easier!!

If i dont read my mail for a week or two cos i am too busy chatting with people i DO know or chatting on the forums, i go on a mass read/delete!

Its hilarious how many "no sex id's" there even after only a week or two.

You soon find out who the time wasters are so it doesnt bother me

Couldn't agree with you more JandS, we lived in North Wales for a year and that was awful for meeting, the Scots community is so friendly and we now consider ourselves part of it (been up here nearly 5 years) what more can we say except we are always open to offers...

We have had a profile on a pay site for a while and only keep up our subscription as we are members of a club based on it

Unfortunatly most of the people on the site just seem to want to chat and never meet so we only visit the site around once a week.

We are also members on another free site for folks around the North West area that seems to be picking up quite a nice membership.

The paid site I am on does not have a forum, so it is not as sociable as FAB.

It's one of the reason why I shan't be renewing my subscription when it runs out in mid Dec 09

Pearl, I think I may have seen your profile on that site - if it's the one that mentions at the end of the description that you're not planning on renewing your subscription because you "found another FAB swingers forum" then I owe you a drink or two as that's how I found this place

The site in question is mostly occupied by either credit card scammers and one-off members (join, then never log in again), as far as I can tell.

Plus it's a shared database - so some people go in via "Naughty Canoodle", others "Marital Affair", one is related to Farming (!) etc. Which means people have very different expectations
