Friend Requests Prior To First Message?

Morning all!

We're really intrigued, what is the reasoning behind people inviting you as a friend without sending a message? This goes for all on the site?

I mean for us, we'd never do it without asking. There's a reason people have connections on here and keep face photos private. We've had people add us as friends but won't read our message?!

Thanks! X

They want to perve you then will either talk to you or delete you again

Part of their decision making process

I regularly get it, i always ignore. I wouldn’t add a random stranger as a friend on other platform’s so i wont here

I think its so they can see your friends only photos or as a way to initiate conversation

Like you i like to talk before adding as a friend

Sometimes it's as simple as a slip of the finger on a touchscreen. More than once I've tried to send a wink, but sent a friend request instead as the two are close together. And there's no way to "recall" a friend request!

We also get friend requests before a message. We think they just want to see our private pics

Happens to us a lot and we never accept. We assume it’s people wanting something new to rub one out over much prefer chatting to people and then add to friends if we all want to see a little more of each other.

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

If i receive an unsolicited one, and they are fairly local, i may accept, view their private pics and likely unfriend within a minute

But mostly, unless I know someone, I don't accept.

Looks like we're all in agreement! We get it from alot of women surprisingly but it pretty much concludes they aren't real to us!

Couples and men are strange as it's like you need to stand out and despite our profile saying we'll never accept, they still do it! Left us thinking why why why!

Some people in hot pics will accept friends requests so then when they post a new pic they have a fan base already there ready to FAB it.

We must have over 1,000 people who have sent a friends request and we’ve not accepted - they can’t ask again, so they get left there.

Our friends are people we’ve met, we enjoy chatting to or who we want to meet.

I never send a request invite without a conversation first … and asking if I can.. I’d like to see if there’s some kind of connection there first

I don’t know why people do send them without even talking to you… they just get ignored! X

They want to see more intimate pics of people, not actually be friends with them. It’s the I want to perve, don't ask, don't get mindset

I don't have friends pics, so I accept just to see theirs

Would never dream of sending or accepting without prior conversations first.

Even in the forums I’d always exchange messages beforehand

your wildest dreams,

It’s a blatant perv thing. I get loads that actually bother sending a message too.

“Hot pics would love to see more, can we be friends, I’ve sent a friend request”

Just ignore them, I don’t even bother looking in my friend requests, unless I’m discussing it with someone and we agree to be friends and they’ve sent the request.

We rarely get them these days for one reason.

We have no friends only photos. At all. Not one.

Given the main reason people make random friends requests is to see more content of you then the easiest way to deter people is to not have any.

Our face pics are in a private album and that's all. Everything else is visible to all.

We never delete the random requests though as it stops them sending another.

Wherever

I would only accept or send friends request to people I have actually met in real life, with small exceptions.

I won’t accept friends request from random strangers but also won’t decline, so they can’t send again

It doesn’t happen often as I don’t have currently any friends only content for them to perve.

Happens to us all the time. Especially from people with no pics, and barely any profile. They are deleted fairly swiftly! We are happy to receive messages from anyone, and if interested we will reply. It’s not difficult?!

Or when they send a friend request & wink at same time ?.

No idea why they think anyone would accept one from someone who has made no effort to contact them before.

I often wait till they're offline to add them, look at their pics & delete them again.

We get this constantly even though it’s in our profile to please not send one would much rather have a message.

I don’t under the logic to it? I’ve asked a few who have send us one and I’ve had the same reply (just trying my luck lol) now it’s just a block and delete

I must admit, I have done this on the odd occasion.

In answer to the OP though, I really don't understand the point of sending an unsolicited friend request without any prior communication.

Perhaps those people who do this could explain their reasoning.

I get this all the time. I guess they’re hoping to see the ‘hidden treasure’ that is the friends pictures I just leave it and don’t decline or accept as then they can’t request again

My experience is that random friend requests usually come from the hotpic hoggers who need to keep their numbers up.

I ignore them all but never delete them so they can't send another.
