Dog found dead in London canal mystery

Swansea

An English bull terrier has been found dead in a west London canal. It was recovered from the seabed and had two dumbells tied around his neck. Experts have found a microchip which traces to an address in Wales but the previous owner said the dog had been sold. Reports that Dog experts are investigating how the dog died. It's a complete mystery. Any ideas? It's all over the news

i am not a pet lover but who ever did this should have the same done to them,,, if they didnt want the dog they should have taken it to a dog shelter,,,

One thing is certain. There is more to this story than meets the eye. Dog investigators are trying to find out if the dog was drowned in the canal or murdered then concealed in the canal with the weights. Will there be fingerprints or DNA traces on the dog's collar. Has a careless killer left a name and address tag on the collar. Was this a revenge attack because the dog bit a small child. Now Tom is not a qualified detective but would make a great amateur sleuth. Are we looking for a muscley guy who recently attended A and E in the vicinity with a dog bite. But did he kill the dog in self defence and panic to hide the evidence. And vital evidence could be lost as the Chief of Police has most of his men at the coronation.

I AM a cunt (apparently) but I wouldn't do that. If someone really didn't want it, there are easier ways to rid yourself of a dog. I'm not saying this is what they should do, but they obviously don't care, so take it on a journey as far as you can and let it off its lead. At least it's got a chance of survival. It's hardly an effort to take it to a rescue centre though.

Imagine being a dog and watching your owner just drive away leaving you in an unknown place to fend for yourself. That's not a way to 'rid yourself of a dog' that's just as a cruel as killing it. Any true dog owner would never part with their dog and if they had no other choice, they would make sure it went to a safe place. Dogs are pure heart, they deserve us to do the right thing by them.

PDSA is a route, surrendering the dog to a shelter to be then assessed and put to sleep in another, creating a go fund for pet treatments also seem pretty popular... Actively tying weights to an animal, and dumping it into water so it can end it's life in fear and distress. Is not an alternate
