Bradford thanks to satnav on a motorbike trip.Ended up going through the city centre on a Saturday afternoon and there were 100s of our bearded friends wearing purple t shirts with a slogan carrying collection buckets literally every few yards. One of them realised under my helmet was a white face and put his bucket down and ran screaming at me across four lanes of traffic.Naturally me and my mate got out of there fast.I did wonder what would have happened if it had been heavy traffic and he had caught me.

I worked at one of London's oldest department stores for years, there is a storeroom in the basement where no-one and I mean absolutely no-one felt easy.

I've never believed in hauntings but I can't explain some of the strange things that I've witnessed during my time with the company.

In the wardrobe when the husband got home early!!!! Hahah

But seriously the oddest/scary place was the Isle of Sheepy when they used to do there zulu day, all the dock workers would black up and put on tribal necklaces and stuff and go around the town collecting for charity, and usually a parade with floats and costumes. Was a fun day over all but the first time you see it. It was like what the fuck is happening. When 30 guys waving spears and skulls desend on your shopping spree lol

Newry Down

The most awful town centre that I have ever visited is in Scotland:

Cumbernauld new town!

There are proposals to demolish it, despite its relative youth.

Horsham

"Wolverhampton my god never again. Lol

I opened this thread expecting to see quite a few people saying Wolverhampton so I’m pleasantly surprised that it’s only appeared once….I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your time here though, there are good and bad parts just like everywhere else but our bad parts are worse than most haha"

Only been to Wolverhampton once, for a karate tournament back in the 90's. It was a good day for me, so no complaints about the place.

Not all that North of North London

Barking. Went to a gig there, was wearing an anti racist tee. Was walking to the gig listening to racists talk hate hoping non of them spied the tee.

Never challenge the locals to a game of rock, scissors paper.

The extra fingers give them an unfair advantage.

Newry Down

The scariest place I have ever been, by a long chalk and contemporaneously the most dangerous individual I have ever met, was when I voluntarily subjected myself to an experimental scenario whereby I was licked in a facility for five days; I could have left if I had chosen to do so, but the experience gained from remaining did outweigh the discomfort and concomitant fear of remaining.

My companion did behave as I suspected he would, in the fulness of time, and a life was needlessly but predictably extinguished, very very violently.

That small room was the scariest place in the UK that I have ever been to!
