Where do you buy clothes ?

I feel like everything I own is from All Saints or Levi’s, it’s becoming tedious. All the other good shops are for children.

I need a sexy man with good style to be my retail role model , no sexual favours required, just message me your purchases or simply annotate your profile pics with little call-outs like ‘T shirt £34,99 from Vans’ etc but if you’re into Boss or Balmain you can do one

Thanks

In terms of shoes, something that's age appropriate and sexy, you should really look into Skechers.

That is the first and last time sexy and Skechers will be in the same sentence. Unless they're the wide fit to accommodate middle-aged bunions. They're hot.

I don’t really do clothes much. I buy a few expensive things and wear them often.

Grenson shoes. Belstaff jackets. Christy’s hats. Pick a brand of jeans that work for you and stick to them - I like basic Wranglers. T-shirts I go cheaper and more high street - H&M or Muji.

Built for comfort, not for sexiness! They can have that strapline for free.

Cheeseville, Somerset

40's-50's ? Check

A sexy man with good style ? Not for a long time.

I stopped worrying about nice clothes when I moved to the sticks and stopped wearing suits for work.

Given I now spend most of my working life either wet, covered in mud or dust and often sweaty my day to day clobber is far from the sharp suit, shirt and tie I used to wear.

Most of my clothes now either come from shopping online (eBay, ASOS etc.) or the occasional visit to TK Maxx. I'm a sucker for sale bargains too.

I don't care for labels. If I see something I like the look of I'll buy it. If it's online and doesn't look good when it arrives it goes back.

Marc used to use the app called Thread to do most of his clothes shopping, it was basically a virtual online shopping assistant, but they were bought out of trading by m&s end of last year.

If this is a proverbial 'dick size' comparison thread, then for me it's: G-Star RAW for jeans; Sunspel™, Hackett, ZARA, Lacoste, Camper, Duchamp, COS, J.Lindberg..

I haven’t looked at Zara for mens for years, but I like the woman's stuff and good prices. I actually worked with them a very long time ago when shifted production back to Spain after mistakenly following the likes of Next Near East , M&S etc.

Threads was great, they assigned a person at the beginning to hand pick items for you before they grew , automated it and got acquired. I miss them too

Hot and miss - a lot of what they sell is the designs that failed on the high street and way too much to sift through. They do great Italian food and coffee though , one of the few places you can get a kilo of high quality Italian expresso beans for £10-£15

I disagree , a t shirt from all saints, Levi’s feels nice , fits nice and has such a minimum amount of branding. They also do nice shades of black and khaki that you can’t find elsewhere

They used to be OK but I think have gone downhill. They stop at 44” chest and are more aimed at slim guys in 20s/30s

I bought a pair accidentally from Decathlon once , so comfortable, got home and asked my daughter what she thought and she pointed out they were sketchers and threaten to move out if keep them.

Fortunately lots of companies like Vans & DM now do awesome 2” soles

I try to use independents if possible rather than high street.

There's some great, well made kit out there although it does depend on your personal style.

My go to's are:

Joe & Co

Trickett

Blacksmith Store

Everyday Garments

Universal Works

HebTroCo
