When om heading north on the M1, I think not in the North once I get to the A50 junction. That's roughly the point they start calling bread rolls all manner of weird things and calling you duck when you speak to them

Strangely wouldn't think of a Scouser as a Northerner.

I think of it more like Lancs, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Etc

Well if you try to figure it out using Fab geography it apears to be just above Sheffield. Probably Barnsley. Mind according to Fab, East Midlands goes from Chelmsford to South Yorkshire... Go figure.

When I worked as a Civil Servant they - 'officially' - took a red marker pen and drew a horizontal line across the UK from east to west bisecting the very southern tip of Sheffield.

Anything above that red line is "oop norf"
