I, dear fabbers, spent a brief but fruitful period as a paid webcam performer. Yup. It was a long time ago, I was very poor, too proud to ask for help, and it paid for my much needed car repairs at the time

I also had a relatively popular x rated twitter account (to signpost people to the webcam).

But this is not a thread about me. Tell us something not many know, about you, forum folk!

No, if I see one I like I get it. Although I tend to get them when I'm on holiday, there is so much more choice in Europe and they are more colourful.

Trying to resist asking for link to this is a bit difficult...

But when I was younger, I saw a speech therapist to overcome a stutter I had. Now, you wouldn't notice it but it still comes out when I'm really, really nervous.

Ah I saw a speech therapist for a few years. When I'm in a heightened state of emotion certain words do come out in a particular style.

I was born with club foot, had to have my foot in a cast to try and straighten it then I had to wear special shoes. I used to get a lot of attention from everyone because I was only little lol

I can remember the day I got the all clear, I was only small and can remember the Dr holding a big lollipop and telling me to run to him to get it

I hold a second Dan black belt in karate and in the 1980’s I was on a TV show called ‘You Bet’ performing with my class. At the time I was a teenager and still a novice.

More recently I am a cancer sufferer. I was diagnosed in October and my chemo is due to finish at the end of March when I hope to ring the bell.

Finally I am distantly related to Imran Khan (former Pakistani PM and ex cricketer).

Random tests during a health scare in my late teens. They had to redo quite a few of them more than once.

It made quite a few things sort of make sense during my mum's pregnancy, one being signs of and a confirmed miscarriage, yet there I was a couple of months later.

I done something similar on a popular website during lockdown making custom pictures and videos. It was fun for a while but then life started getting back to normal and I ended up deleting my page.

I also had a really bad lisp growing up and had to train myself to speak differently.

Holy fucking shit, Red!!!! This genuinely surprised me about you! I don’t know why, you clearly have the looks and vivacity to do it. I bet you made maaaaany dorrar.

I have run a marathon, cycled across the French alps and the Andalucian Sierra mountains, but this is by the far the hardest thing I do.

I love long distance fitness challenges, but trying to be normal in a very popular, dynamic forum is a huge challenge for me. I have to admit that, on most days, it sends me into a spiral of rumination and disappointment. But every morning I pick myself up and go at the day (and forums) with energy and positivity. I enjoy being here, but I hate what I allow it to do to me.

the saddest thing for me about this post is that you seem to see it as something that your not proud of. You paid for your own things.. you pulled yourself through it by using the assets and skills available .. well done you.

I think my not well known fact is that I once auditioned and was accepted for the London philharmonic orchestra, had to turn it down due to personal reasons. And never refused it. Perhaps my biggest regret in life
