Really useful resource, helps set a mindset that puts you in control.

Alcohol use has a habit of quietly getting more and more. There's lots of resources to help you.

When I first stopped, I did it as an experiment for 100 days. Then stopped completely afterwards. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Not me, but I have noticed from meeting people post lockdown that finding someone who hasn't been drinking in the evening, as in a whole bottle of wine, no matter what day of the week it is, is much more difficult than it used to be.

I had a few people who I used to meet regularly who have dropped off my list because if I can't see them before say 8pm, they are pissed and there's no point meeting for sex.

One guy who I met regularly pre lockdown arranged for me to come round to his, I arrived at 9pm and he was knocked out and I couldn't get in. He did manage to rouse himself but....

I used to have a cut off time of after midnight if someone was asking to meet, I'd check if they were d*unk and probably not go straight round, but since lockdown that's more like 8pm and I'll be asking if they've had a drink.

I've nothing against people having a drink, but being sober (ie driving) to meet someone who is out of it, isn't what I signed up for.

Difference of opions there but just asking if anyone else has had a bigger intake than normal, whatever normal is......I like to socialise beforehand and see where people are coming from with the expense but I am happier at home drinking (which I never did before) than going out.

Is this normal or is it me reluctant to go out and meet others.

No. Had 6 pints of Rattler on Tuesday, still enjoy it after covid as I did before it.

Home = Cheaper

Out on the town = more Expensive

Each to their own , people go out to meet others , some stay at home , less hassle.Since Covid a lot have built their own place to socialize in and have stayed there and they invite the people they want to have there , unlike a pub which is " open Season " regards people being there.
