Since it started, the ante has been upped with each subsequent series, and they tend to get increasingly outrageous people on there, balanced out with a few normal people. Most are just looking to get on TV rather than for the date, let alone a relationship.

OK, we all know that the premise is bullshit in the first place, but even those who get picked to go on the "date" are usually left humiliated when things turn frosty at the end of the evening, and the reality kicks in that they might have to make good on their initial gambit AFTER they've had their time in the spotlight.

It's bear-pit television, and it comes with numerous problems afterwards. There are plenty of former contestant's experiences out there, including being humiliated at work by colleagues, getting fired for appearing on it, standing around for hours in the box during filming, only getting travel expenses, etc.

For those who get through, each are given £50 for the date, with the most ruthless of them not buying any drinks and pocketing the cash!

It all comes down to having a thick skin, being confident enough to show it, and secure enough in your job to not cause problems.

Had a model friend who went on it found doing the show fine she was used to being naked infront of the camera quite enjoyed it .

Then came all the social media backlash from people who are just nasty for the sake of it ended up having to come off most sites fb ig etc and use a fake name .also had to move house due to being bombarded with unwanted take aways taxis sextoys underwear etc says there are some real wierdo stalkers out there

I hope the OP is going to take into consideration what family, friends and work colleagues are going to think.

It's okay getting off on being naked on TV, but spare a thought for your loved ones and the aftermath.

I've seen it a few times and I find it actually cringeworthy and I feel embarrassed for those taking part.
