Ford Capri, awesome because it would skid around corners like the Dukes of Hazzard. Much cooler than all that Formula One stuff

If you want to sell it, plug a section in, check the cars work, take a picture with their lights on and put in on ebay.. sold mine for £80 last year

Not all that North of North London

Uses to go round to a mates to play it after school, we were hoping to compete for some kind of championship, it took about 15 billion hours to set the track up but the thing never seemed to work there was a dodgy transformer again again...

"My lad got one for Christmas I’m bored of it already "

Yeah, ive noticed a lot of older guys rave about scalectrix, and even buy it for their kids just so they can play with it too.

But after a day, they are bored with it.

I think sentimentality makes us remember it as a brilliant toy.

Did anyone have TCR? (Total Control Racing).

I seem to remember from the adverts that you could switch lanes?

Yes I did, and yes you could. They had a switch on the controller that let you swap lanes. There was also a 3rd car, the jam car. It went round slower and got in your way.
