I'm pretty sure, there's many a cliche surrounding maturity, and its perceived benefits.

But how has growing older really affected you? Wiser? Less mobile? Happier? More affluent,or maybe just plain indifferent?

A lot more chilled out about life in general, I’m in better shape physically than I was in my 20s and everything is still in working order

Much less tolerant of arseholes

I now also realise that most people are doing their best with what they’ve got… still, doesn’t mean I have to put up with them

I'm like you just happy in my skin many probably don't fancy me but many do so it doesn't affect how I feel I'm confident, friendly, articulate, funny and generous

I've never related getting older with maturity because the hand I was dealt meant I've had to be very mature from an early age.

Hitting 50 brought with it a level of self confidence I never had before and a new found determination.

The last year has been extremely taxing with ongoing health issues both personally and among family and friends.

I have zero energy or motivation for only the second time in my life.

Less energy

More aches and pains

A higher sex drive (think that's to do with getting rid of the husband though)

I've definetly changed as I've gotten older I used to be really fiery and now I'm laid back. I'm also not mentally in the best off mental health b but nevr have been. But now I've got a bad hip and a left arm that hardly moves due to two breaks and two operations on my left shoulder.

I used to be a party animal but now perfectly happy to stay in with the odd night ou I know longer swing after 4 years

Not all that North of North London

It's made me too cynical of humanity.

And very much aware of my own mortality
