What was the music album you weren’t expecting to be that good at all? You know, the one which took you completely by surprise?

Mine was Midge Ure “Orchestrated”.

I think it’s phenomenal.

Am an old fogey, so always a bit suspicious when someone recommends new music to me, especially my children…….. but I really enjoyed listening to Waxahatchee when they recommended I listen to their Saint Cloud album

Victory For The Comic Muse by The Divine Comedy is, to my mind, their (his) best output ever.

And the track Lady Of A Certain Age, as well as holding me spellbound the first time I heard it on the radio, reminds me somehow of my Aunt

always thought it was good- then i got my new workshop and stuck a big ass stereo in there with a large stereo separation...and the sheer quality of the production blew me away. I'd go as far as saying its one of the best albums ever made- Phenomenal!

I'm a massive Levellers fan and they're a brilliant live band but in recent years they're new material hasn't been great, didn't exoect them to come back with an album that's an equal to anything they did in their heyday
