I think people need a thicker skin here sometimes. I have been a member here previously, with a straight profile and was lucky enough to meet 3-4 women in my time. It was tricky, I didn't get many replies, but eventually patience paid off. I don't currently get a look in, probably as I'm sooooo fucking ugly the tide wouldn't take me out, but maybe if I play the long game my time will come

We find if a guy actually reads our profile and uses his brain rather than another bit of his anatomy, then a decent message arrives and we politely reply, but still get asked why not me?

Sorry couples well outnumber guys so we have the lovely position of being selective

Can see where u are coming from! And I will say to peeps if I don't think we would b compatible so no ty but that itself evokes a bad reaction from some only last week when I declined I got told they only asked as they felt sorry for me being so old and that I will probably b dead by next week anyway! So praps they once bitten twice shy and decided not to reply for fear of repercussions? But yes do get your frustrations! Deffo best not to take it personally x

I understand what you mean mate, yes if you’ve been talking to people then they ghost you after seeing your face it’s slightly rude, but I guess that depends on length and content of the conversation, but take it on the chin youth it’s the world we live in now, it’s easier for people to ignore than it is to say no especially by message.

The hardship is having the same hassle from loads of blokes at the same time asking different versions of "why not me", it's exhausting. Some guys are ok, but loads want to get in to long conversations about it and some get quite nasty.

I used to get that but now I look at their profile first and if no pics or photo verie or verifications I just tend to delete the message unread as it stops them messaging me

I exchange a few messages with a guy then for whatever reason realise he's not for me. He's a complete stranger online that I know nothing about, one I'll unlikely ever meet and they are only messaging me to get in my knickers.

To be fair to you, if you’re chatting in anyway to the point they’re asking for a pic then yes I agree it’s rude. People do get inundated with messages and those I’m not interested in I ignore, even then you get the constant, “ I take it that means no” or “guess I’m not your type” and so on. But if I’ve started to chat with someone I’d also feel they were being rude if suddenly they ignored me.

I don’t think he is demanding replies off everyone. Just frustrated at someone he’s chatting to who then doesn’t have the balls to be honest with him

Maybe Fab just needs a “‘Thanks, but no thanks’ and Block” button, or some kind of message expiry option whereby non-replied messages get a similar “no thanks” reply after a set period of time. That way, the sender gets some form of closure, automatically or otherwise

Ask for a face pic first , the person you are talking to may not be your physical type and you'll know then ,who knows maybe if you saw them in real life you may not even give them a second glance but because they're here they might have you all worked up, if you send one first it's giving them the opportunity to knock you out of the water..so don't send one first ... ask for one

They don't have the time, or any duty, to engage in casual conversation especially if they don't find you attractive in any way.

Put yourself in their shoes. Wake up, make a coffee, hop on fab - would you really reply to what I imagine is at least 50 new messages every day from people who don't catch your eye?

some maybe frigid, some just on here to waste time, some look at this site as a members club for idle chit-chat & not keen on action, some in search of their soul mate, some are simply fed up of being pestered, only a few genuine peeps who are keen to have fun...!

You’ve just been chatting and only just got to the point of sharing a face pic. If a woman or couple then decide, for whatever reason, that they aren’t into you, then they are entitled to stop talking. End of story.

If someone ghosted you just before a meet, or after a month of talking then sure, I could understand that as feeling disrespectful.

Given how abusive the men on here can get when they get rejected, I personally will never apologise for just deleting the conversation if i decide someone isn’t for me after a few messages back and forth.

Just seen OP has several verifications on here.

So it's clearly not like he's not getting anywhere. Maybe he's had a bad few messages that haven't found his face attractive and that's why he's upset but that makes it worse.

You can't expect everyone to find you attractive and faces are important in that. Just rules of attraction. But he's met up with a few women so just enjoy that and don't get over confident enough to expect every woman/couple to like what they see

OP, any profile that shows something you're not compatible with, is doing your filtering for you. If you think not replying is rude, and someone doesn't reply, you're obviously not compatible. They've done you a solid and you can block and move on, probably saving a load more messages before you find out you're not suited.

You should be glad you've got an extra working filter!

The forums work the same way, some will have blocked you because of your comments on here, some will agree and hotlist you. People have got different preferences....

Maybe check the Fab rules. A no reply is taken as a no round here. It's literally right there in the rules.

You can make as much effort as you want sending a message. That doesn't mean anyone is obliged to make any effort at all in replying. If someone I don't know rings my phone, it is not rude or ignorant not to answer. If a stranger shouts "oi!" at me in the street, I am not required to stop and have a conversation with them. If you knock on my door and I am busy with someothing else, I am not obliged to open the door. Etc. etc.

In summary, it's in the rules. And it's not rude even if it wasn't.
