I shook a hand of a president of another country. Is that a celebrity?

T.

It would help if I was interested in celebrities.

I once saw a news reader from my local BBC news programme walk past a restaurant I was sat in. That’s as good as it gets for me. But I regularly use that as my claim to fame

I've met quite a few

Don't get starstruck aside from musicians who have given me hours of entertainment. In my ears. Not my bedroom.

George Michael came to a hostel I was at in London to do his community service. Timothy spall ran away from me in an alley in regent street. I asked Richard right said Fred where the job centre was in Soho. Had a fag outside itv studios with Steven mulhern. Had a drink with stu francis and got Goerge McCrea d*unk when I worked in a hotel. I though Roy walker was a taxi driver in same hotel. Helped push Jim bowens car in Blackpool. Loads more...

Wherever I lay my hat

Touched Martin Kemp's arm at a Radio 1 Roadshow in Cleethorpes

D*unken snog with one of the Housemartins in Hull

Sat next to David Tennant on a Ryanair flight (I didn't notice till we were at baggage reclaim at Stansted)

Went for the same bakery item as Timothy Spall in Tesco Express in East Dulwich

Sold Richard Ayoade some second- hand tat at a fete

Had a nice chat with Tim Wheeler from Ash on Insta

Sat at the next table to Nile Rodgers at hotel breakfast when Chic played at Tramlines in Sheffield. (He had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs btw)

Just been living my best life in paradise, peeps.

abruzzo Italy (and UK)

I used to run a bar in Manchester that was popular with both soap stars and footballers, but as I don’t watch soaps and couldn’t give a shit about sport, meeting them made no difference to me whatsoever.

Actually, I did meet a few music types in there that was more interesting, The Black Crowes, Morrissey, Julia Fordham, Mick Hucknall.

Not all that North of North London

I've met a lot of famous musicians and sportsmen though as my music tastes and sporting interests are fairly niche I'm not sure any of them would be classed as celebrities.

The near miss though, that's Adam Ant, completely star struck and couldn't say a word to him!
